Our curated platform features over 200 ethical brands. We want to help people navigate the highly fragmented sustainable fashion marketplace and give more visibility to brands that are socially and environmentally responsible.

Great to see a list like this being made, helping people make better decisions around what they buy. I like the country filter - already found a few brands close to home. A few suggestions: 1) It would be nice if it showed the impact of delivery (e.g. emissions) when looking at a brand outside of your home country. 2) The subscribe button doesn't work for me (I'm on Android and have an adblocker installed in case that's helpful). I suppose I'd know more if it worked, but I wasn't sure what I would receive by subscribing - e.g. is it new brands as they come available? 3) Might be a good idea to add a `?ref=thesustainablelist` parameter to the outgoing URLs - will help brands realise who's sending them traffic! (Similar to what PH does). Overall it's great, looking forward to seeing the list grow and more people invest in sustainable fashion! 🙌

Hi, I'm Marcel, co-founder of The Sustainable List. I'm really excited to share this project with you, so let me tell you how it came to be: In 2015, my wife and I started turning our attention towards sustainable fashion brands, after watching the Netflix documentary "The True Cost" (which talks about the social and environmental impact of the big players in fashion). However, we soon felt increasingly overwhelmed by the amount of brands in the world of sustainable fashion and couldn't keep up with the quantity of information, like WHERE a brand is from, WHAT products they produce, or HOW they attain sustainability. We ended up creating a platform to help people navigate this ever-growing marketplace, while hoping to give smaller, more independent brands more visibility to potential buyers. Shout out to @andreea_kalveram for adding all those amazing brands 🧡 If you have any suggestions, comments or feature requests to make this product better, please don't hesitate to leave a comment. Happy to see this kind of project making it easier for people to discover and buy ethical brands. The UI/UX is nice and easy to use, especially on mobile. Congrats and the keep up the good work :)

Your page is a great initiative to meet and choose ecologically sustainable brands around the world. A necessary project so that the world fashion trade begins to reflect on the damage it does to our planet, giving consumers options to look for brands and ethical productions.

@ferrannp Thanks! The initial load is good thanks to SSR. There's still a lot of potential to improve performance on the filter front and search though, to make it feel a lot snappier. We'll tackle that soon!
