@visualpharm Hey, Ivan! Thanks a lot!
When we first started, things looked even more depressing, but over time, we began to take steps in a calmer, more constructive direction. Now we seem to have found the right tone of voice.
@visualpharm@kulinkovich1 That's fascinating. Would be interested to see some of the scraped ideas of you guys that are on the more depressing side. For now it's already a product that I can stare at for a long period just in awe of the flow of time and life.
@jackie_jiachen_yang Hey, Jackie! Many thanks!
Some depressing parts are still available in the new version. We just shifted the focus to what we call Horizons, a tool for daily planning

OKeeeey here is my wish list:
- more hot keys
- ability to paste images in the notes section
- automatic link recognition in comments
- global search
- better tag support with autocomplete
- ability to mention people who are not even in my contact list, just as a way of tagging but about people
@vlad_korobov many thanks! 🌟
Your wish list overlaps with our backlog pretty much. That's great!
I just didn't quite get the last item here. I'd appreciate it if you could describe the scenario in which this is supposed to be used.
@vlad_korobov@kulinkovich1 Usually when you write @ - there is an invite dialog - but I don't need it. I just wan to use @ as # but for marking people like @john - and John is not a part of my team or something. So @ is like # but just for other kind of tags :)
@vlad_korobov@kulinkovich1@john I get it! Thank you! We will try to find a proper solution for this scenario. By the way, collaborative features are on the way as well. ;)
@itsnblackburn Nathaniel, thank you for sharing your view! ✨
Yep, this part of the project is yet to be elaborated, and we'll definitely take your opinion into consideration!
Just WOW! I suck at managing my time and planning my own life, even if I plan everything related to work very well, when it's about my future personal plans... terrible. Well, not anymore! The design ann UI is just amazing, great use of colors, and for what it is worth, amazing presentation video!
@kulinkovich1 PH won’t let me find or reply to my original comment, even though I can see it in my notifications. So I made a new thread:
Here’s an example of grammatical mistakes + a sentence that I find a bit awkward and would rephrase. These are right on the horizon page, so I’m surprised you missed them…
I assume there’s more although I can’t recall any.
Hey hunters!
I'm Sergey, co-founder of Timestripe.
A few years ago we came up with the prototype of Timestripe – an interactive lifetime calendar, based on user's birth date and average life expectancy. The idea was to help people realize the finiteness of life and motivate them to start doing what is really important.
For many people it was quite a dramatic experience. Just a quick look at Timestripe Calendar raised serious questions in one's mind. Left alone with these questions, people reacted differently: some fell into melancholy, while others, felt an emotional lift and burst of energy.
Surprisingly, we have received tremendously positive responses from people who have chosen this calendar to plan their lives and manage their daily tasks too. So we decided to take the next step and build the perfect tool for conscious life planning.
We've learned a lot about life since the first prototype, so our product evolved significantly. It started as "you must achieve more before you die" and now it is more like "you are the author of your amazing life".
Today we are relaunching Timestripe.
We call it "goal-oriented planner", but that doesn't seem to describe the thing accurately enough.
What would you suggest?
We think a lot about the value of small steps on the way to great achievements, whatever they might be.
Here are some highlights:
- Horizons are keeping you aware of your big dreams while managing your daily tasks. It helps to stay focused, while seeing the big picture.
- Every day is a fresh start. No more overflowing to-do lists.
- Each goal is a line in your biography, which is automatically written in the format of a convenient diary that you can reflect on.
- Multiple checklists in boards to organize anything.
- Climbs. Add a variety of challenge sets to smoothly build useful habits and learn new things.
- Calendar, Clock, Lifetime Overview, Insights, Tags, Apple and Google Cals integration, Dark mode.
Timestripe has a mobile layout, though, but its strengths are better revealed on the desktop. Native mobile Apps are still to come.
It would be a great pleasure to know what you think.
Hey, at least try to put some new year's resolutions to test the product 😉
Are we missing some features?
Are there some planning patterns we didn't design for?
Please be kind enough to share.
We'd appreciate any feedback.

Thank you! ✨
@kulinkovich1 Congratulations on the launch!
Timestripe could be solving this need gap - 'Getting things done at individual level' posted on my problem validation platform - https://needgap.com/problems/30-... .
You're welcomed to explain how Timestripe solves their problem, So those who need it can find it easily.
@kulinkovich1@heavyinfo Hey Abishek! Thank you for your support!
The link you shared is gold! So many nice tools mentioned! We will definitely investigate all these products and will add Timestripe to that list. Thanks again!
I'm a fan of this product. Before I used Things on Mac but it was a bit boring and I realized that I'm not so GTD oriented. For the first time in my life I started to use paper to write down daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals. I was supper happy that saw a digital version of such approach.
You can feel that all makers are designers, and I love the unique calm style of Timestripe. Of course I have a lot of wishes, which I will write down in a separate comment.
Is this it? The note planner I've always needed? I love the horizontal timeline, it's so refreshing as it's how I plan my week.
I do wish the detailed modal pop up was little simpler and had smaller fonts / less distracting content.
Looking forward to using this!
@typicalmitul We are constantly working to make Timestripe look as clear as possible. So we will definitely take your words into account as we work on the next releases. (In fact, we are already discussing what can be done here). Thank you Mitul! ☀️
This is by far the best app I've used in my entire life! thanks for making it, pre using it I used to manually plan my goals in a year which wasn't really that pleasant.
Are you planning on making Mac/Windows/Mobile apps anytime soon?
I really liked the teaser video. It's so appealing!
Also, appreciate your thought and the purpose of making an application like this. It will be really helpful. Thanks 👍
?makers Great product and design! I have a suggestion for you:
add an option to provide a feedback inside your product like a feedback button (if such option doesn't exceeds), not just an email
@liad_fogel Thank you Liad! We'll discuss options with the team. Meanwhile, we'd love to get your suggestions via Twitter, Instagram, facebook or email (all listed at Timestripe.com).
@kulinkovich1 here is one suggestion: to create a button to move all uncompleted task from the past (or at least from the last day or week) to the next day (or even create an option to choose it to move automatically). This will force the users to remember to complete the open tasks (now I need to do it manually for each task)
@kulinkovich1@liad_fogel thank you Liad! We're working on it right now. There will be a place (we consider it to be inside some custom Backlog board) where all the outdated / uncompleted goals would be automatically listed.
Wonderful design, it instantly makes you think about how you want to plan your life in a way no other software has (so easily) before. Thanks! One question I have for the ?makers is how to manage a task that is in my weekly column, and then wish to assign it to a particular day this week. Do you just have duplicate tasks, one in the weekly view and one on the day you want to do it on, then mark them both off as complete once done?
@chrisdahl Thanks for the kind words, Chris!
Different users have different patterns of using horizon columns.
Some see the larger goal and formulate today's goal with them in mind.
Some simply drag the goal from the week column to the day column. It's more like a kanban workflow.
And some people use horizons as a diary in fact. How the week went. How the day or month went. So it's more like a tool for reflection.
I really love that the Horizons view allows you to see not only short term goals but also encourage you to make progress on longer term goals by putting them next to each other. Looking forward to using this!
Friendly and clean product. However, the price plan is not super clear to me, and $19.99 is too much for a planner. You can build the same in Paper (dropbox) or Notion, Todoist, Trello, etc. So, for now, it is overpriced.
In my opinion ?makers you should offer free and pro versions with extra functionalities.
@imishanin Thanx for your feedback. As a long-term planning service, our main focus is on the annual subscription for now. Its cost is comparable to most competitors (about $5 a month).
We're also giving away a lot of discounts and promo codes for our early adopters right now. And also thinking about the option of a lifetime purchase and student discounts
@kulinkovich1 Hoorah, happy to finally see you on Product Hunt! The Climbs are fantastic, do you plan to add an option for creating my own sharable Climb at some point?
@kulinkovich1@vladimir_gromozdin, thank you! 😌
Yeah! That's a part of our plan!
We are going to provide the opportunity for people to create their own Climbs on any subject. The Timestripe of Tomorrow allows people to share knowledge with each other by seamlessly integrating new skills into the routine of their everyday life.
Goingn to try it out since I love the Horizons view/dragging from days/weeks/etc. How I try to plan my week but most tools don't really support it well.
Not so much looking forward to the existential dread part of the product, but we'll see.
Timestripe team, you are awesome! Since Tim Urban helped me visualize my life in his Wait But Why post https://waitbutwhy.com/2014/05/l..., I've been searching for a tool like this. The education portion of the product with Climbs is especially dear to me. Keep up the great work!
Fabulous product. Great design, great concept, great execution. Two requests
1) could you consider integrating with to do apps such as Things? I like the quick capture that I can do in Things via Mac, mobile, browser extension etc. I don't want you to reinvent that in Timestripe as simplicity is beautiful but seeing the today's tasks from Things would be great.
2) could we have the ability to add notes separately from a goal each day so that it becomes a kind of diary as well
In any case, just beautiful and really smart; Thanks for giving us this tool.
@monaco Hey Stephanie! 👋
Really appreciate your feedback!
1) Yeah! Integrations with other apps is one of the most important areas that we have to explore in the nearest future. Hope we will find a way to provide some solutions soon.
2) I think technically we can do this but the note without the goal still needs some name to be represented on the layout. So you can create a new board, name it "Notes" and use whatever naming system you like. I mean you are able to give your to-do's any names you like. Please, let me know if I didn't get you right.
@kulinkovich1 it's not exactly that. I want to be able to record any kind of random thooughts for the day, like a diary on the day itself without that having to have a tick box like a goal. For the moment, what I'll do is create a goal called "diary" and then write my thoughts there and see them in the timeline view.
By the way, will the thoughts put in "insights" also appear on the timeline?
Finally, just discovered what happens when you move around the Overview section, so beautiful!
