@jacqvon Hi there! Titan is an active investment manager -- we invest your money directly into the most favored stocks owned by top long-term focused hedge fund managers. This strategy provides you with the opportunity for above-average returns, and you own actual fractional shares of stock (rather than ETFs/indexes). Titan provides you daily insights and updates on what's driving your money and why, all inside the app. It feels like your own personal hedge fund manager in your pocket. That's very different than other robo-advisors because they provide average returns and very hands-off investing ("set it and forget it"). @jacqvon @cgardn20 this seems like a wonderful idea for a product, have not seen much success with the AI based investment products. A revamp of traditional investment system seems a good first step.

@tjpatel Titan follows long-term focused, fundamental, quality-biased equity funds. Think Tiger Global, Lone Pine, etc. Our software removes funds like Bridgewater and all other macro, quantitative, pair trading, and other funds that aren't suited toward the use of public SEC filings as a proxy for their strategies. It's a "wisdom of the crowds" model -- we don't place weight on specific HFs. Instead, we look to the investments most frequently owned within the universe of funds that fit the profile I described above. @tjpatel No problem. We don't short any stocks. We hedge users to different degrees (based on their risk profiles) using an inverse market ETF during periods of turbulence.

I'm a bit confused on one thing, you say "we don't short any stocks" but on your website it says: We then "short" (i.e. bet against) 0-20% of the market index based on your risk tolerance to give you personalized "hedged" exposure. Can you clarify this a bit more?

@tjpatel @cliffdailey Hey Cliff, welcome to the Titan community! Great to have you onboard. We don't short any stocks at Titan. Instead, we buy an inverse S&P 500 ETF to effectively give you short exposure to the market index (when the S&P 500 falls, the inverse ETF goes up in price). That's why we say we "short" the market index. When someone literally goes "short" a stock, they are using leverage (i.e. borrowing money) which entails potentially unlimited risk (a stock could go up to infinity, costing you more than 100% losses). We don't want to ever put our users in that position of risk. Hope that clarifies things!
