@_jacksmith Absolutely! You can consider this guide a GIANT kit of every resource in this book, including intangible items like recommended films, documentaries, podcasts, apps, etc.
When you need a tool guide for a tool guide, you know it won't help you get shit done. This book is so ridiculously overkill, I think ironically, way more people use it to procrastinate rather than look something up when they truly need it.
@samhefnawy Think of it as an encyclopedia. It has 1,000s of tools, tricks and hacks from 100s of people. The way you're supposed to use a book like this is if you don't know something very specific (like how can I wake up at 5 AM without feeling tired?), you pick it up, go to the relevant section, read that, apply it and close it again. But that's not how this book is marketed or how most people will use it. They will read it cover to cover, consume 1000s of pieces of useless information (useless because they don't have anything to apply it to, not because it's not good) and waste a ton of time.
@niklasgoeke I totally get what you were saying. That's exactly what I was going to do - "let me head to the office and give it a good and thorough browse "
After weeks of reading and dissecting this tremendous new book from Tim Ferriss, highlighting just about every sentence on every page because there are so many jewels of wisdom, and filling up my copy of the book with many post-it notes, I finally got to digitizing all my notes, collected all the resources mentioned throughout, and created this beautiful website to go with it.
In this go-to resource guide are ALL of the Titan's recommended/mentioned books, products, supplements, apps, films, podcasts, etc., and the links where to find them. Along with a page to follow all of your favorite Titans (Tim's guests) and their social media links.
Enjoy the book, enjoy this guide, and I'll love to hear any feedback on how to improve this guide even further so you can make the most out of reading Tools of Titans!
@john_m_egan amazing .. my only request.. I wish someone would make a "Tim Ferris schedule" and list all the things he says he does (ie; 3 times a week for 15 min .. his life seems extremely busy! (or well organized I should say)
Per a few requests, I now updated the guide to include filtering by Topics! Ex: films, keto diet, meditation, sleeping tricks, hacking, supplements, etc.
A collection of all of the Titan's recommended/mentioned books, products, supplements, apps, films, podcasts, etc., and the links where to find them. Along with a page to follow all of your favorite Titans (Tim's guests) and their social media links.
Hey John, you know if you're going to use affiliate links you need to disclose them? Also, you might be getting yourself into a bit of trouble with your website and branding as it's not your IP and you're clearly monetizing from it. This list is great and really useful, but being transparent about it can save you from getting into trouble. All the best.
@_kimanh_ much thanks for the feedback! Yes- I've listed the disclosure about the affiliate program and many other answered questions on the About page. I want this guide to mainly be extremely helpful to everyone reading this book! Regarding any other branding and IP issues, I've fully looked into this before hand to confirm I'm not breaking any trademark rights and I'm still in progress in contacting Tim Ferriss about this.
@john_m_egan You're not going to want to know that affiliate links need to be disclosed right before each affiliate link in the same font colour and size. Having a disclosure on the about page isn't enough these days. :-\
@_kimanh_ "You're not going to want to know that affiliate links need to be disclosed right before each affiliate link in the same font colour and sizeโฆ"
โ Where can one find some legitimate guide about ethical and legal considerations regarding affiliate links and this kind of uses? Thanks in advance.
