I was hoping that if this is a desktop app, that you wouldn't need to upload the images to the cloud — and could do local processing (i.e. for speed and privacy). Seems like this is just a PWA, no?

I love what you're doing and I get that everyone wants a subscription service, however this really feels like software I should be able to buy outright.
@richard_mulholland thank you. Can’t wait for your to try it. We actually offer our users free 50 preview credits for lower resolution output. But if you need highest quality and more than 50 images per month then you can opt for the subscription.

Every user can access their API key token by signing up and creating an account to run the app. And we offer 50 free preview credits per user per month. So, anyone doesn’t need to pay anything to use the application, unless of course you want more than 50 images per month and download the highest resolution. Why not try and test the app first. Your feedback is much apprecaited. 😊
@jennp This app has one of the weirdest onboarding experiences I've seen. If this would be an app written by someone not removal.ai, I understand the need to enter an API key. But this is *your* app. The app should manage this for me. I guess the app tries to solve a challenge for existing removal.ai users. For someone who wants to try your service, the onboarding is weird and cumbersome.
@hans_sep… That’s why it is called Removal.AI for desktop. We developed intendedly for our existing users and also for new dedicated users. As we improve our technology, we want to develop more convienent tools and plugins for our users. But, thank you for downloading and testing and for the honest feedback. How many images can I process per hour using this bulk background remover software? And how can I access the API key?
Hey @ryanchaliff! You can process thousands of images depending on the settings of the sizes and the quality of images you need and of course your Internet speed.
Perfect solution for photo editing. But does it effect on output image quality and resolution?
Hello@hovhannisyan_hasmik, their is an options in the setting which quality you would prefer. You can control the size and compression to optimize your images.
Wow! Your tool has great features and settings. Very simple to configure, select background, set size, choose output quality and more. I really love the image optimization auto settings for ecommerce. That's what I am looking for. Will definitely try this tool.

. I really appreciate the fact that we can drag images in bulk and it seems to work very smoothly. In my experience we’ve always had to remove the backgrounds one-by-one. Thanks for the addition! This will make things so much easier.
