When someone is researching their trip and how much it will cost, they often have a tab open for the hotels, one for the restaurants in the area, one for the rental cars, for the activities, hotels, airports, etc. Yes, it's a lot. So I thought - how could I simplify this process? I decided to build a tool that could take into account basic travel costs, like activities, dining, lodging, and method of transportation - and add them all up to see how much a trip would be. I chose to focus the app to just popular cities in the US because after doing research, it made sense to make something where a lot of people were going to. Many costs, such as a rental car, were added and an average was taken. The app isn't perfect, and it's no substitute for actually calculating every expense by hand, but I hope this website can save people's time when calculating how much their trip costs will be to popular cities in the US.
