Forms by Blue Cat lets you create forms that will create Cards on your Trello boards. You have full control over sending data straight to any fields in Trello, including your custom fields and attachments.
@startupstella@rrhoover We talked about this internally a couple of years back but picked something else to build (my wrong decision!) finally came back to this last year after reviewing the other options available and realising there wasn't a good solution already. Just one of those things, wish we'd done it sooner but better late than never right :)
This is something we wanted to build for a few years now, no one else got round to doing a good job of it so we finally decided to make it a reality.
Other form solutions for Trello have one or more of these problems
1. No Custom field support
2. No attachment upload support
3. They don't actually store the data in Trello
4. They ugly! 🤢
5. No ability to edit your forms in Trello (you need a separate account elsewhere)
6. Wayyyy to complicated to get working
So we built a forms solution for Trello, solving all of the above issues. Give it a go and let us know your thoughts :)
Hi @kensavage :) We connect through the API, so no need for Zapier or anything like that. It's super simple, you add the power-up and can create your forms directly in Trello. We give you the form link to share and any completed forms end up as Cards on your Trello board :)
I've been waiting for native forms inside of Trello for a while, and folks, this does the job! I use this across several boards for various things, like collecting feedback from my newsletter subscribers, getting ideas of what things to write about, and even walking myself through my anxious thoughts by forcing myself to ask myself questions about thoughts that I'm having and turn it into a bit of a journal.
It's amazing that it all just works out of the box, everything looks nice, and you can easily map questions to custom fields or labels (something I haven't really been able to do with Google Forms + Zapier or Typeform!)
