The Taycan is a totally new and innovative platform from Porsche, and as expected, pure emotion and maximum driving pleasure hold true as they do for any Porsche.
Absolutely stunning. I haven't test driven the Taycan yet, but from what I can tell this will likely be my next car.
At first I was worried about the charging network but it looks like you get three years of free charging at 2,000+ Electrify America charging locations. Also, four minutes of charge gets you 60 miles on the road. That speed is hard to beat (no pun intended).
I own a Tesla and I'm not sure about the infrastructure Porsche has at play but that is such an advantage that non-owners don't talk about. The fact that I can drive coast to coast in the USA, or from Toronto to Boston, etc. using just the Supercharger network so my stops are 10-20 minutes to charge is what makes electric cars actually usable. The Taycan, if they don't have something like that in place, would be relegated to being a secondary track car or city car, which is fine but it's in the price range of a primary driver for some people.
