TripScout produces high quality audio guides and offline maps with a quirky twist that I really appreciate - they cover the highlights you'll obviously want to know but also slightly more obscure points of interest. I don't get to travel as much as I'd like to anymore but have also found the guides to be fun armchair traveling - I can learn about cities I'd like to visit someday.

@galeriks we've focused on highly curating our guides instead of crowdsourcing, so don't have an open way to contribute. However, we love hearing local tips from all our travelers! I find this app so useful to uncover locally-recommended spots especially when on the go and impulsively looking for something nearby.  The insightful lists helps save time and avoid guessing among the infinite google results or settling for overly-marketed tourist traps. Led by a great team too. Highly recommend it!

TripScout is a relatively new app, but they have thought of everything! Get it today and let them know what cities you'd like to see!!

The very best thing about their maps is the links to all of the great places to see in each city. The links provide essential info for your visit. I never want to be without it when I travel!!

Pros:

LOVE that I can use it even without an internet connection! Also very happy not to have to be that tourist walking with a giant map!

Cons:

Needs to include more cities!!
