Hey PH fam 👋 Today, I'm super excited to bring Turf to the wider tech & startup community around the world! 🌎 Let's zoom out for a bit. Don't you agree that we're living in the golden age of SaaS, with new products popping up daily? And when throw AI into the mix, the sheer number of software products being created around the world is off the charts. But here's the million-dollar question: when building a product gets this easy, how do you keep your users retained/engaged and coming back for more? Enter Turf: the in-app community platform built specifically for SaaS companies. 🚀 Why am I so hyped about Turf? Because I don't think I've seen a community product with THIS MUCH FIREPOWER in recent years. The feature set included is just impressive. You'll have to see for yourself. The best way I can describe it is: Imagine having a Swiss Army knife for user engagement. From forums to feedback boards, knowledge bases, roadmaps, change logs, academies - Turf's got it all. And the fun part? It's all wrapped up in a super simple embeddable widget that lives right inside your SaaS app. This was a very novel execution to me when I first saw it. And there's one additional power feature that stuck with me. Turf isn't just about building communities - it's about measuring their impact. 📊 Turf gives you the analytics to tie community engagement directly to your bottom line. Churn reduction? User activation? Revenue growth? Turf's got you covered. I recently got a sneak peek of Turf's demo from the founders and it was incredible. The team behind it really gets the unique challenges SaaS companies face. They've been there, done that, and now they're solving a problem we've all been grappling with. Big shoutout to the Turf team (Olivier & Tim) who are here today 😀 Check out the tool and feel free to drop any comments, questions or suggestions below ⤵️

@thisiskp_ @max_savonin1 We offer custom branding on authentication pages in our paid plans, including branding inside the community environment for all plans. We also have a free plan with limited members.
Olivier van den Hoogen
@max_savonin1 Thank you and definitely! - Yes it can! - We have a free forever plan so SaaS companies can test the platform before committing. Got it. For sure. Currently we provide an embeddable widget that can show in your existing SaaS application and reflects your community environment. We also work with SSO setups for our clients so their users won't face any auth pages or sign in/up flows. I will for sure ping you and let you know when we add the API access to all our plans and you can review it. Appreciate the support!

I saw a demo clip a few days back and it looked awesome. Integrating all of that into any SaaS takes a while, requires some compliance with data privacy, permissions, user control, performance implications. A plug-and-play solution is definitely in order.
Olivier van den Hoogen
@no_fear_inc Yep definitely! Thanks for the support 👌
Tim Pouw
@no_fear_inc Appreciate it!
Ali Naqi Shaheen
Congratulations on launching such an amazing product. The integration of a knowledge base in a community and gamification features are fascinating.
Olivier van den Hoogen
@ali_shaheen Appreciate the feedback Ali. Thanks! It's all about creating one single meet point for your users :)
Tim Pouw
@ali_shaheen thanks!!
Priscilla Zorrilla
Well done Olivier and Turf team 🙂 Congrats on your launch! What a momentous day ✨
Olivier van den Hoogen
@priskillaz Thank you for the support Priscilla! Appreciate it :)
Tim Pouw
@priskillaz that’s one thing for sure. We did more than best to become 1#
Mark Schiefelbein
Looks really slick. And super comprehensive, everything a community manager would need.
Olivier van den Hoogen
@mschiefelbein Thanks!! Appreciate it :)

I've been using Slack as the "community" but it honestly feels a bit disassociated with my product. Turf looks like a better way of doing it. Booked a call with the team!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@thisissukh_ Amazing! Looking forward to speaking soon
Tony Han
Oh wow this brought memories back from Thinkific days where the team was building a community from scratch! It's a big endeavour to build, but so much value to the end users. In so many businesses, it is important to integrate the community into the app so it's a more seamless experience. And man Turf delivered some amazing feature sets! This would work REALLY well if people are logging into your app often already! Good luck taking all the inbound demo calls and congrats on the launch @oliviervandenhoogen and team. Good hunt KP (@thisiskp_)
Olivier van den Hoogen
@tonyhanded haha that's crazy! Yep. In the end, your users want to be most active in your community when they have just used your app or when they are using it in real-time. Making the barrier to entry as low as possible in those moments is very important :)
Tim Pouw
@tonyhanded after two years of hard work, pivoting and struggles… more than happy to take every inbound call. No problem at all. Would love to connect sometime with you as well!
Davis Nunez
Congrats on the launch, KP, and what a cool concept! This seems to be an amazing way to bring the community inside of the already existing SaaS, instead of having to create another login, or access another platform. Very creative, wishing you nothing but the best!
Tim Pouw
@davisnz just started to follow you as well. I would be very interested to hear more about your journey. 7 figures in 3 years, well done. Appreciate your kinds words as well. This is exactly what we thought; focus on saas, facilitated SSO and lower the entry barrier as much as possible. This way you can build a get strong customer base with a high self-service ratio and great NRR.

Been looking at Turf and it's purely designed for SaaS companies. Fb groups are dead, I tried discord and grew to 15K but 0 analytics. It's just people with funky gaming names. - My CEO asked. I couldn't do anything and I wish I found Turf back then. Good job Turf team and yes, community is the future!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@superminnu Appreciate the support man! Let's catch up some time!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@superminnu For SaaS companies it is really hard to launch on FB groups, Discord, or Slack and drive some organic peer to peer community activity from their user base. Besides the lack of basic features that allow you to properly manage your community (like analytics, as you mentioned), generating community engagement in the first place is a big pain point. SaaS users want to be active in your community when they are using your software in real time or when they have just used it. It is very important to make it as easy as possible for users to participate in the community, in these moments. Besides that you can not centralise any other modules in your community on FB, Discord, or Slack. This creates a lack of incentive to go to your community and means people will be less exposed to your community in the first place. It really comes down to making your community the single meet point for your users.
Tim Pouw
@superminnu thanks for your support!! Its a neck and neck race for #1
Thet Lin Thu
Turf simplifies community management with its all-inclusive hub. Amazing work, Olivier!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@thetlinthu Thanks! Have you built a community for Avie before?
Nick Ilin
Firstly congrats on launch! Product looks and feels clean, functional and straight forward. So far my top feature is "Knowledge base". From my personal experience I know how important project documentation is. It is so nice to have it integrated with other things like "Onboarding, FAQ and Announce".
Ashik Hameed
Just checked out Turf and I’m really impressed! I love how it combines community forums, feedback boards, knowledge bases, roadmaps, change logs into one centralized hub. The fact that it’s all embeddable within our app is a huge plus. The ability to measure community engagement's impact on key business metrics like churn reduction and revenue growth is awesome. It’s clear you guys have put a lot of thought into addressing the unique challenges SaaS companies face. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it enhances our user engagement and support processes. Kudos to you and your team for creating such a comprehensive tool! @oliviervandenhoogen Do you have plans to integrate with any specific CRM or support platforms in the future?
Olivier van den Hoogen
@ashikhameed Thanks for the kind words! Looking forward to hear what you think after you've given it a try. Yes, we have some pre-built integrations (e.g. Intercom). Currently we enable the integrations upon request, but you'll also be able to do it yourself within the next 3-4 weeks. We are making those pre-built integrations self-serve as we speak :) If you have any questions while trying it out, be sure to let me know. Happy to help!
Tim Pouw
@oliviervandenhoogen @ashikhameed this where product hunt is all about. Great!
Martijn de Kuijper
Go guys, congrats!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@mdekuijper Thanks Martijn!!
Tim Pouw
@mdekuijper thanks and speak soon!
Glenn McWhinney
All signed-up using your gift code — thanks! The product looks very clean and beautiful so good job there. I would like to see API access on all paid plans (it's a deal breaker for me and probably others in the NoCode / LowCode community if experience is anything to go by). I'd also like to suggest adding Webhooks alongside the API please 🙏 I'm impressed that you have allowed for unlimited members on all paid plans so thanks for that too. Other platforms use member numbers to drive people to the next paid plan which never made sense to me 🤷‍♂️ We run digital courses as part of our business and so I'm keen to see how well Turf will support these sorts of features in the future: multiple courses, cross-sells, user permissions, course payments etc. It looks as though the Academy is the start of this side of your platform perhaps?
Olivier van den Hoogen
@theflowagency Appreciate it Glenn! Noted. We will most likely add API access together with webhooks to all the paid plans soon - valid point. Yeah the member limit thing doesn't make sense, especially for SaaS companies and the fluctuating user base sizes. Indeed! The academy feature is the basis for our future course functionality that we will be building out more in the future. We will be providing all the need courses functionality in the near future hopefully 😎
Glenn McWhinney
@oliviervandenhoogen Thanks for replying Oliver and that's very encouraging news indeed. You have a real shot here at being the first all-in-one platform to get it right and there are soooo many SaaS owners in need of this. I look forward to being a part of this journey with you and in the meantime, have an amazing launch day 🔥🚀
Olivier van den Hoogen
@theflowagency Thank you! 😁
Tim Pouw
@theflowagency amazing to receive your support on all different kind of platforms. A real tech enthusiast, I would say. Appreciate it!!
Kieran | nocodelife
Totally agree with @thisiskp_ - the SaaS space is going to explode and the key differentiator will be how well you can engage with your customers. Great concept for a product!
Tim Pouw
@thisiskp_ @nocodelife let me know if you have some further thoughts about how we can further engage saas users. In a way that makes sense and drive the business objectives of course :)
Guru Muscle
Supported. These guys know what they are doing. It's a great app... :)
Olivier van den Hoogen
@david_kocsis1 Appreciate that!
Kostya Bolshukhin
Looks clean and fresh, like it!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@kostyabolsh Thankss! Clean and fresh - the way to go :))
Olivier van den Hoogen
@kostyabolsh Nice! Definitely
Tim Pouw
@kostyabolsh cheers! Super good to hear that
Anna Scandella
Congrats on launching Turf @oliviervandenhoogen & @tim__pouw! We are managing four SaaS products, and this sounds very helpful. Going to try it out asap!
Olivier van den Hoogen
@annascandella Thank you! Sure. Looking forward to hear what you think :)
Tim Pouw
@annascandella thanks for your message. One big advantages that might not be clear. We have an social bar in case you have four SaaS and want to provide an environment for all of the separated but also want them to be easily accessible. Let me know if you would like to hear more about this.
Congratulations on the Product Hunt launch 🚀 Highly recommended to all the SaaS founders who want to have their own all in community platform that comes with Knowledge base, customer feedback, technical documentation, direct support chat 💬 and academy.
Olivier van den Hoogen
@sam_jesani Appreciate the support Sam!! Was a pleasure working together :)
Tim Pouw
@sam_jesani where unicorns begin to fly…. The rest is history. Thanks for your support Sam!
Gareth Wilson
Great work, Olivier - love the ability to embed.
Olivier van den Hoogen
@_gw Appreciate all your support over the last few weeks! The ability to embed is a great way for SaaS companies to increase community activity and adoption :)
Tim Pouw
@_gw curious it was great to hear you and @oliviervandenhoogen are able to connect in London next week!
