@michael_sieb this is awesome. Itโs timely for me personally as been researching various video editing tools. Quite a few out there but Type Studio seems to have a better UX than the others. Definitely going to sign up! Will provide any feedback to you :)

@michael_sieb I'm back again to say, this thing you made is really awesome and here's why I think so:
1. Nice user experience - your copy prompts throughout the signup process were delightful and unexpected, the dropzone for the video is hard to miss, the UI is beautiful and the task flows are intuitive.
2. Progress bar - made me feel reassured
3. Speed - it uploaded quite quickly for an HD video!
4. Accuracy - worked like a charm, I didn't even need to tweak it.
Questions:
- What's are the little squares in between phrases and how do I get rid of them?
- Is there a way to cancel an export if I change my mind?
I can tell how much hard work you all put into this..the fact that it's browser based too is impressive.
TL;DR This. is. good. stuff. Try it out! ๐ฅ
@michael_sieb @elizabeth_alli Hey Elizabeth! Thank you soo so much for your Feedback! Only with feedback we can improve in the right direction.
To Answer your Questions:
1. The squares.
Actually the squares visualize the pauses in your spoken text / in your video.
When you want to get rid of the pauses and make it more jump-cut-like, simply delete the squares and the the pauses will get cut out automatically.
2. At the moment its not possible to cancel the export! But I write it on our to do list.

@tomcosman Thanks for your feedback! ๐ You're right Descript has also added the text-based video editing function. The main difference is that our tool is completely web-based and runs in every browser. You don't have to download and install any software. The advantage of this is that we render the video in the cloud and enable functions such as video sharing and integration.
@tomcosman @michael_sieb ahhhh I see! Roger that. That's awesome, browser-based is a win for sure.
Love the subtitles and text formatting built-in also!

And what languages supported for transcription from video, and do you have opportunity or plans in future to transcribe only audio file (itโs useful for podcasts)
@m0rg0t we currently support ๐บ๐ธ ๐ฉ๐ช ๐ซ๐ท ๐ต๐น ๐ฎ๐น ๐น๐ท ๐ต๐ฑ ๐ช๐ธ ๐ณ๐ด ๐ท๐ด ๐ธ๐ช ๐จ๐ฟ ๐ท๐บ but we will add more languages in the future! Do you need a specific language?
At the moment we only support audio in combination with a video.
@m0rg0t @marvin_off was curious about russian.
One more thing - are you going to try implement separation of different voices in video (for example when two people talk in video would be nice to get text corresponding to specific person, case it would be much easier to edit such texts)
@m0rg0t In first place we are trying to take videoediting to a new level.
When it helps for editing, we will implement it :)

@edgarascom A very good question! In the past, Google and Co. could actually not crawl and index embedded iframes. But today all common web crawlers can crawl iframes.
@edgarascom @michael_sieb So the embedded transcript/article would be indexed by google as page content? Hard to believe, guess I have to try itโฆ But doesn't google count it as duplicate content though??? ๐ค
