Thanks, @benln for hunting us!

Hello, Product Hunt Community👋,

I’m Saikiran Chandha, founder of SciSpace.

Being in the academic space for years, I understand how challenging and time-consuming it is to find the most relevant papers. Researchers often spend hours refining search queries, skimming abstracts, and tracing citations — only to wonder if they’ve missed something crucial.

Sounds familiar? 🙄

That’s exactly why we built Deep Review — the AI research agent that takes the hassle out of systematic reviews and finds the most relevant papers for you.

I’m super pumped to introduce Deep Review by SciSpace, the first AI research agent for systematic reviews — which you always wanted!

🚀 What is Deep Review?
Deep Review isn’t just another academic search engine. It acts like a researcher, refining searches and thinking critically to ensure you get only the most relevant and accurate papers, 10x faster and better than Open Research — with reduced cost.

Here’s how it works:
✅ You start with a simple query or keyword
✅ Our agent enhances your query with better keywords, synonyms, and context
✅ Runs multiple refined searches to surface the most relevant results
✅ Reads abstracts, traces citations, and finds hidden papers you might have missed
✅ The AI agent knows when it has found enough relevant papers and stops searching
✅ Results are well-organized, not just a long, overwhelming list

🔥 Why Deep Review stands out?
Most AI search tools just dump papers based on keywords. Deep Review does more:

🧠 Thinks like a researcher — understanding deeper requirements, not just keywords
🎯 Optimizes every step of the search — ensuring precision and relevance
⚡ Delivers 10x more accuracy & speed than other AI search tools
🔍 Provides transparency — so you see exactly how each paper was selected

Use Cases
From academia to industry research, Deep Review supports researchers across disciplines by streamlining access to relevant papers.

😍 Try it out now: https://scispace.com/search

We’d love your feedback — share your thoughts at community@scispace.com

A small perk for the Product Hunt community, use the code PHUNT50 to avail yourself $50 off on the Deep Review annual plan 😊

What’s Coming Next?
Right now, Deep Review searches across 280M+ papers in SciSpace, but we’re taking it even further.

📢 Soon, you’ll be able to:
Search across other academic databases including Google Scholar, PubMed, and more to access all the papers with our AI-powered browser search

Huge thanks to this amazing community — your support made our previous launch #1 on Product Hunt! Let’s just do it again 🚀

Thanks, @benln .

Hello, Product Hunt Community

Bringing Deep Review to life took months of research, testing, and iteration.

We wanted to build something that truly changes how researchers find relevant papers — making it faster, smarter, and more reliable than ever before. We're already working on enhancing it further, and your feedback is key to making it even better. Try it out, share it with your peers, and let us know your feedback.

Huge thanks for your support!

Masum Parvej

@benln @saikiranchandha does it adapt based on the search context?

Dineshan
Launching soon!

@benln @saikiranchandha Congrats on the launch! Deep Review looks like another solid tool from SciSpace. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any API options, do you offer any, or are there plans to add them?

Saikiran Chandha

@benln @dineshan_sithamparanathan Yes, we don't have an API option as of now. What is your usecase for the API?

Saikiran Chandha

@benln @masump Yes, for every new paper it reads, the AI fires a new query based on the understanding from the literature, this adaptation algorithm mimics human exploration.

Kunal Sahu

The transparency in showing us how papers are selected is a great step. Congratulations!

Saikiran Chandha

@kunalsahupro thanks for the kind words.

Arpit Ranjan

The AI deciding when to stop searching is interesting, but can users manually override it if they feel more papers might be relevant? Congratulations on the launch.

Saikiran Chandha

@arpitranjan Yes, in the future versions you will have the ability to steer the steps.

Kay Kwak
Launching soon!

Exactly! Reading entire papers and extracting the necessary information is such a tedious and time-consuming task. This looks like a product that many researchers will love! Congrats on the launch !🎉

Saikiran Chandha

@kay_arkain Thanks for your kind words! Yes, with Deep Review, we aim to change the traditional approach and make the review process more streamlined and efficient.

Ray Wang

Where does the library of papers that it's searching come from? Is it from the LLM itself or do you have your own internal db.

Saikiran Chandha

@rwanghacker We have an index of 250M+ research articles abstracts and open access full-text

Sudarsan T J

Congrats. It's indeed an Interesting concept, but how does Deep Review ensure no bias in filtering papers?

Saikiran Chandha

@tjsudarsan Thank you! And we ensure AI models assess a paper’s relevance based only on its content. They don’t consider citation count, publication venue, or authors unless the user specifies otherwise

Sudarsan T J

@saikiranchandha Any features in roadmap on this?

Rohan Tondulkar

Absolutely love the direction SciSpace is heading. AI tools are great, but the real challenge is relevance, how does Deep Review ensure that the shortlisted papers aren’t just keyword matches but actually relevant as you claim?

Saikiran Chandha

@rohan_tondulkar1 Thank you! For every paper, the model analyzes the abstract, title, and then the full text to determine if it was relevant and met all the criteria in the user query

Matt Osborn

Trying it now - As a B2B marketer, unique research content is always needed for sales enablement / lead generation - this may be a great tool.

Saikiran Chandha

@skail Try it out and share your feedback:)

Kisson Lin

This is cool! I'm sharing this tool with my friends in science field. Good luck!

Saikiran Chandha

@kissonlin Thanks much for your support!

Nico Essi

Looks great but which journals do you have access to - and which APIs are you using to search for these papers? It's important this is clearly communicated if you want adoption by enterprises, for obvious legal reasons. @saikiranchandha

Saikiran Chandha

@nicozensara Hey, we index title and abstracts of all published articles from various sources such as semantic scholar, open alex, and our own crawlers and open access full-text papers. So, there won't be any copyright issues

Promise Uzoechi
wow. this is a huge win for reseachers
Saikiran Chandha

@promise Thanks for your kind words!

Ege from UserAnalytics.AI

Hey there, very nice product. It would be also nice to "Talk with any of the research papers and ask further questions"

Saikiran Chandha

@ege_from_useranalytics Thank you! And we already have the tool, Chat PDF — that helps you chat with research papers, check it out here — https://scispace.com/chat-pdf

vikram ray

Another killer feature from SciSpace. I’ve already recommended this to a few research groups which I’m a part of. One question — how does the agent decides when to stop the search for the papers?

Saikiran Chandha

@vikram_ray1 Thanks for your kind words and appreciate your support!

So, the agent counts how many relevant papers it finds each time. When it stops finding more papers, it considers this a saturation point and that's when it decides to stop

Mikita Aliaksandrovich
Launching soon!

Congratulations on the launch of Deep Review, Saikiran and Shanu! Wishing you all the best with further enhancements and growth!

Saikiran Chandha

@mikita_aliaksandrovich Thanks much for your kind wishes!

Sam @CRANQ

Hiya Saikiran,

Congratulations on the launch!! Love that this AI-assistant thinks like a researcher?

Deep Review sounds like an academic’s dream tool, wish I'd had it an university - the endless searching and filtering through irrelevant papers literally took hours & hours of my time lol!

If it’s really better than OpenAI Deep Research then I can't wait to see it in action!!!

Best of luck w/ today!

Tarun Jain

Congrats on the launch @saikiranchandha , Have been a long time user of your products. Love every one of them. Just tried Deep Review and it looks very very promising.
