During my first search, the system presented several false positives on no-followed links. No doubt this tool has promise, but it still needs some work.
Pros:Well designed.
Cons:A few false positives on no-followed links showing up.
Backlinks has similar functionalities to ahrefs and Majestic SEO, basically allow you to review and analyze your backlinks portfolio (and your competitors as well) and it also helps you search for good linkage opportunities. Whats good about it is that it's free and very very simple to use (like Ubersuggest), so in other words in very easy to use.
Pros:Its a very robust platform, easy to use and most importantly free!
Cons:extremely sophisticated reporting are still in development.
It would be nice to somehow know the relative value of content on sites like Medium, Blogger, WordPress.com, etc. Are they actually as valuable as those sites' domains would lead you to believe when shown in tools like this?
Pros:Easier to use than the average SEO tool which is far more complex.
Cons:Nofollow or dofollow is inaccurate. HuffingtonPost, Wikipedia and even some comment links show up as dofollow.
Presented a tonne of useful results that I can use as part of my linkbuilding and outreach process. csv export handy.
Pros:Quick and easy to use. Great UX
Cons:maybe link to some training on what I can do with this data? :)
That's a minor gripe, and how can I complain about something free? Thanks Neil for another great tool.
Pros:It's easy to use and intuitive. Well laid our report. And it's free!
Cons:Could maybe explain about the drop-down box for domain etc.
I've built and sold an SEO-driven apartment hunting site, run SEO for places like RetailMeNot, and launched an SEO tool company (Buzzstream), and I still can't get enough link building data! If you can't afford to pay for a tool, this is a no-brainer place to start. The reality is that promoting your site and getting links is harder than ever, but just as important as ever.
Pros:Free data, what's not to like? Modern, fast UI.
Cons:Would be awesome if it integrated with Buzzstream.
