New Hunter looking for advice!

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m Alan, a Shopify developer and the founder of Snippfy, an AI-powered automation tool that helps developers speed up tedious coding tasks. I’ve been building Shopify stores since 2019, but this is my first time launching my own product.

I’ve browsed Product Hunt on and off for the past year, but now that I’m gearing up to launch next month, I’m diving in and trying to learn as much as I can. I don’t have an audience yet and have never done anything like this before, so I’d love to hear any tips, advice, or things you wish you knew before your first launch.

How did you approach your first launch? What worked, what didn’t? Any advice would be super appreciated!

P.S. Feel free to drop a link to your product—I’ve been having a blast discovering new tools and would love to check them out! 🚀

Hey Alan! Welcome to Product Hunt! My advice would be to focus on building relationships before your launch. Engage with the community, share your journey, and ask for feedback.

Launching soon!

@roslyn_brooks Hey Rosalyn! Thanks so much for your advice, That's why I gave myself a month before launching to try and engage with the product hunt community. I really wish I had started before though it's been really insightful and and awesome talking to other founders and learning about their products!

Hi Alan,

we are coming up to our first launch this Friday - happy to share our learning in a week or so!

Check out SME Clutch coming soon.

Our first tip is to super careful about your initial submission - not everything seems to editable and set your launch date well in advance...

@andy_hogg That’s awesome, Andy—congrats on the upcoming launch! I’d love to hear how it goes for you. Thanks for the heads-up about the submission process; I’ll make sure to double-check everything before finalizing. Best of luck with SME Clutch, going to keep an eye out for it!
