@jenleeny Thank you, Jen! We really appreciate it. We are currently in development to allow the sorting by sector, yes. We have also partnered with 10 organizations and incubators, which investors will be able to filter through as well. It is all in the efforts to make Unicorn the most dynamic, curated, and network-focused fundraising platform possible.
From the website:
Unicorn streamlines the first and most critical pain-point of the fundraising process, discovery. The rules are simple; early-stage founders record a 15-second pitch and angel investors spotlight their top-3 portfolio companies. Similar to online-dating apps, you "swipe" to connect. Easy on the trigger, however, as Unicorn caps swipes per every 24-hour window. If mutual interest exists, Unicorn facilities the introduction and prompts the founder to send a "warm" e-mail.
@_sdunn_ Cool, it is a really cool and very beautiful app. I started my sign up but stopped at the video upload. I think you should allow users to continue the process without a video so they can see what other details you are asking and allow them to upload the video later on.
@rotemthegolfer That is very common feedback we've received and we are definitely considering that option. Once approved, you can always go into settings and update your video.
Extremely easy to use, beautiful UI/UX. I've been using the app for a couple weeks now and it's one of the few, new ways you can get a warm intro to an investor.
Thanks, Jeff! We are trying to add more engagement to the world of early-stage start-up fundraising. Unicorn recycles the very same dynamics found at live networking events, but uses data to make the process more seamless and transparent.
