Well, what a product. I have a strong feeling crunchbase is getting very strong, data driven competitor soon. When consulting startups I often observe their mistakes in evaluation - this product solves that! Bookmarked and recommended!
Cure for a big headache. Really. 200% startups are doing wrong valuation hypothesis (most startups are failing to valuate their project more than twice).
Hey fellow Product Hunters! 👋
We’ve built a Startup Valuation Nest to help founders determine their startup valuation. We've aggregated data about the actual valuation of startups in 55 industry clusters and put it on a graph to show how the valuation has changed since 2015. To ensure the accuracy of the data, we've eliminated all anomalies and outliers.
With Startup Valuation Nest you can:
- see the average historic startup valuations in your investment stage and industry cluster
- check the current revenue to valuation multiplier for your industry based on the latest available data
- see the top 5 investors in a similar stage and industry
- last but not least, historical data can show how stable your industry is.
Your valuation depends on many factors, including your market and team. However, our tool can serve as a reference point.
We will be happy to hear your feedback here in the comments. 🙂
@scherbaque seems really cool, but impossible to use on mobile (at least for me). I have to accept cookies, but I cant because the chat button appears over the accept button so I cant press accept :(
@scherbaque@joshuajomiller Hey Joshua. That's a really useful feedback. We didn't catch this flaw while testing. Thanks for noticing, we will fix that. I hope you will still come back and use it on desktop :-)
Very useful to understand how to value your deal. Would be more useful if you could create sub-categories esp. in software. But the real value seems to be in investor matching. Am I right @scherbaque?
@scherbaque@vishal_srivastava3 Thanks for the feedback. This time we aggregated some industries to provide more accurate data but we will consider subdividing them. I guess value depends on your stage and needs. In any case, we did our best and have ideas on how to improve the product.
