Hi @joshuapinter, I already responded to your email but am pasting here for any onlookers who are interested.
We have a decent chart at the bottom of the webpage, but in essence Unite is WebKit based and Coherence is Chrome based. So Unite gets smaller apps and more native features like status bar apps and customizable windows, while Coherence supports virtually all web experiences, extensions, etc, because Chrome based.
Serious question. What is the core purpose of this app. Why would I want to create a bunch of single use apps using this, instead of just say, pinning all the pages in chrome? This isn't a negative comment, I am sincerely trying to understand the motivation of this.

I hope some users will chime in as they are probably best to answer this question, but here is my answer.
There is a large group of SSB (site specific browser) applications for macOS. Some of the biggest are Coherence, Unite, Fluid, WebCatalog, and EpiChrome. All of them have the same purpose, to ostensibly turn websites into apps on your Mac, but they have different takes on how to accomplish this.
Moving past the functionality, the purposes are broad. I know some of our users simply want to have an isolated Gmail app that does not track other browser activities, while some do more complex things like create multi-tabbed apps for their workflows. The truth is there are many use cases, but each is somewhat niche in its own right, but I hope this give a brief understanding.
PS: I am being brief as to not fill up the comments section, but would be happy to elaborate more on twitter or email.
