Cool! How it works?
Jack Smith
@lepunk why are you answering some of the questions, but not the questions that everyone is asking about how it actually works? the images provided here don't show what the message the user receives actually looks like.
Tobias Struckmeier
@_jacksmith @lepunk its part of the sms standard. but many providers block those change sms. at least here in germany
Peter Frank
Can you explain how this works? Does the recipient receive a "normal" SMS message, or a link that they then use to view the message?
Jesse Rose
Does this actually work with real SMS? ie what's the experience like for the receiver without the app? Fairly certain this is not possible unless the messaging is based in the app/web views and then the messaging is misleading.
Naré
@rrhoover check it out : it's a very near solution. Let me know what you think:)
Elizabeth
Okay - now here's an app you could charge for. No brainer to DL since it's somehow free. @_unSend @nareshka91

Hey @lepunk I can help you with your SMS issues, most likely formatting issues with your provider. Fire me an email taylor.hook@infobip.com
Tamas Szikszai
@hook_taylor @infobip yes, it was formatting issue. it should be resolved by now. thank you
Ben Tossell
I get the benefits of this and have obviously thought that I needed it many times previously... Good that only the sender needs this for it to work!
Luke Fitzpatrick
@bentossell (I wish there was a seperate thread for situations that ppl really needed it and showing off there blunders). This could be a cool thing you could do on your actually website (ppl can submit sticky notes of message blunders).
Tamas Szikszai
@iamwormify @bentossell we are actively retweeting people with email / text blunders (https://twitter.com/_unsend)
Adam Davies
I'm assuming there is a delay set from when you hit send and the text message actually sending. Giving you 10 seconds or whatever to hit unsend/edit.
Tamas Szikszai
@adammydesign nope, you unsend / edit any time. even if the recipient already read the message
Henk
THIS IS THE WHOLE REASON I STUMBLED ON PRODUCT HUNT! #ThankYou
Alessio Delmonti
Cool concept, I'm gonna test it soon. Does it work with feature phone as well? Do the recipient device need to be able to access internet in order to use it?
Erwin James Will
Is there going to be an android version?
Tobias Struckmeier
@ejameswill There are apps like this for a long time in android. I think it was "handset sms" or "chomp sms" who provided that function. (but mostly blocked by providers)
Souhail
Very interesting, @lepunk do you mind explaining roughly how it works?
Shobhit Puri
Cool idea! Wonder how it works. @lepunk Is it supported to Canadian numbers as well? I didn't receive the verification code after I created the account. When I enter press back from the verification screen, it asks the phone number again. When I enter it, it says "No sending number for this country" on pressing the "Continue" button.
Tamas Szikszai
@shobhit_puri sorry about this issue. now im 100% confident that i fixed the issue with international numbers. you must have received an sms with your verification code
Arjun Paliath
This is cool.. I never though iOS could get this app. Really useful in some cases.
James Frew
Great idea but I couldn't find anything on how it actually implements this?
Bertrand
Another question here, will it work with the native ios messages app ? Now, the recipient has to follow a link and go on safari to view the message :(
Bertrand
argh ! is it only available for US numbers ?
Tamas Szikszai
@iamryo it should work world-wide. where are you based? we had issues sending messages to certain countries, i would be more than happy to check what is wrong
Bertrand
@lepunk hey, i'm based in Paris, France. Tried to resend the verification code but nothing went through. Thanks
Tamas Szikszai
@iamryo please try it again. I've just made some France specific changes
Bertrand
@lepunk Hey Tamas, I tried again, still nothing. I get the following message : '' no sending number for this country'', i tried both with 0033 and without it at the beginning of the number. Cheers
Tobias Struckmeier
AFAIK many providers block those changes. At least here in germany.
Kasper Mackenhauer Jacobsen
I love the idea, it seems you don't support international (danish in my case) numbers? I tried with +45 and 0045 prefixes - Would love to try it out though!
Tamas Szikszai
@dinoshauer it should be resolved now. can you please try again?
