@trace_cohen You know what else is a good idea? Positioning guitars behind you on video calls instead of books. It makes you look like a rockstar.

I love Upstream; I've joined more than 100 events this year and hosted 10 of them (check the Serial Marketers group there). I'm excited to host a holiday party too.
Congrats @ajt on this launch! been enjoying using Upstream, especially all the breakout rooms. This is an awesome launch. Very timely and needed. Can't wait to participate in some holiday mixers in the coming weeks!

I love Upstream. I've been to over 30 events myself. In fact I love it so much I started an Upstream for San Diego Tech. Having our 2nd event today.
Very smart. Just curious (and this is as a veteran user of Upstream), are you really just setting up a private Upstream for companies?
@aaron_cohn Yep - we actually have a bunch of those already but you wouldn't find them in discovery because they are hidden (as opposed to discoverable)
This app is amazing! I love their virtual events and mixers. I have seen so many apps that were trying to do some thing like this, particularly when I worked at LinkedIn. I have not seen any app that is so well-designed and user-friendly. I love the short intros after the speaker format. It's a fun, convenient, easy, way to network. I hope this app grows so the matching gets personalized and better with time.
Alex and his team have built an incredible fun platform for networking that is relevant now more so than ever. Nothing bums me out more than when I have an Upstream event in my calendar and can't attend because of another conflict. You never know who you will meet and thanks to the amazing communities, the high level of professionalism and unique career experiences is unmatched. Every single contact I have made has been of value. This is such a fantastic idea and great way to expand the Upstream universe!
I've been using Upstreams since October, its a great community. I highly recommend it to skilled professionals looking to meet other highly skilled professionals.
