Hello, I'm Shrinath Nayak, and I’m excited to introduce https://validate.email/ - a simple yet powerful tool designed to help you verify if an email is real, reachable, and deliverable in seconds! 🚀 Why Validate.email? If you've ever dealt with fake signups, bounced emails, or outdated email lists, you know how frustrating it can be. Many tools only check if an email is formatted correctly, but that’s not enough. Validate.email goes beyond basic syntax checks to provide real-time insights into whether an email can actually receive messages. What Makes It Different? ✅ MX Record Validation – Confirms if the email’s domain is properly configured to receive messages. ✅ Disposable Email Detection – Blocks temporary and burner emails used for spam. ✅ Reachability Check – Ensures the email is active and deliverable. ✅ Real-Time Verification – Get instant results without waiting. How It Works 1️⃣ Enter an email – Simply input any email address you want to verify. 2️⃣ Instant Verification – Our system checks MX records, reachability, and more. 3️⃣ Get Actionable Insights – Use the results to prevent fake signups, improve email deliverability, and protect your system from spam. Built with Privacy in Mind At validate.email, we take privacy seriously. We don’t store any emails—only track API usage to maintain the service. Whether you use the API or the web app, your data stays yours. It’s free, transparent, and built using open-source tools to keep costs minimal. Completely Free & Unlimited ✅ No subscriptions ✅ No hidden fees ✅ Unlimited email verification 💬 Try it out and let us know what you think! Your feedback is invaluable, and I’d love to hear how validate.email can help you. 🚀

Congrats on the launch! Looks promising, but why free?

BTW, it doesn't seem to catch temp / disposable mails. I tried via emails from https://temp-mail.org/en/

@ohansemmanuel thank you for the upvote and feedback.

I maintain a growing list of disposable domains against which to compare emails, and new domains are added daily. As the list expands, you should notice improvements in detection over time.

As for the tool being free, I believe it should be, given that it's built primarily on open-source projects. My infrastructure costs are minimal since I don’t store any data, eliminating the need for a database and its management. For backend hosting, I use railway.app, which provides sufficient resources to run my APIs for a minimal cost.

The only way to cover the costs is by running developer-focused ads.

@snayak , fair enough. Thanks for the detailed reply! I'll give it a closer look!

QQ: Do you plan to add auth headers to the API? i.e., it can still be free, but this lets you do things like rate limiting for a fair usage policy / finer control over who's using the API

Just a thought!

I'll try the API in some of my projects.

@ohansemmanuel The goal is to make the API accessible to everyone without requiring sign-ups or API keys. However, as you suggested, I may consider an alternative way to implement auth headers.

I appreciate the great suggestion!

Doesn’t seem to work correctly. I type in some gibberish gmail email id and the website says it’s valid. It doesn’t verify if that account exists or not. Also, tried it on a corporate email account based on GSuite and shows valid for a gibberish account that I am a 101% sure doesn’t exist. Am I missing something?
Shrinath Nayak

@maclein, Sorry for the issue you faced. The tool checks if an email is reachable by querying the MX servers and returning the result based on their response. For gibberish email IDs, one way to test would be to send an email and see if it goes through, but that’s not ideal. I’ll look for a better approach to handle this.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I’ll work on fixing this issue.
