Verbally is your free meeting helper. Display & time-box your agenda, stay on time with meeting & speaker timers, plus more. Works in seconds with Google Meet. Empower your meetings with efficiency, top-of-mind focus and a few friendly nudges.
Lovely product! Congrats on the launch. During our meetings, we usually screen share the agenda in Notion and I'm afraid as cool as this it, it'll break some of our workflows :( I wonder if we can use it in other areas 🤔
@temirlan Thanks for the feedback Tem! I see your point, with the current version, even if not ideal, i have a suggestion: Invite the assitant to you meeting and and copy and paste your agenda from notion into the meeting invite to have the full impact of verbally . You can also do so on the fly in the meeting, once you click Save (and no need to send the update to everyone), it will show on the assistant screen a few seconds later.
But we also have on our road map an integration with notion, so it can pull the agenda from there. Therefore great that you mention the use case, so we can give it stronger weight 😊 we will keep you posted!
Let us know if that solution was a feasible workaround?
@temirlan Hi Tem, this is a use case we are looking into. I would be curious how exactly you are using Notion for this. Are you open to doing a quick interview (for a 20€ amazon voucher)?
@robinsinghvi Thanks!
If you're using Google Meet or Zoom for your meetings you can use the tool right away adding assistant@verbally.io as a participant to your meeting via Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar.
Would appreciate any and all feedback :)
Already using it for all meetings in 200 ppl org, love the tool, makes meetings so much more productive and cant wait for what is still to come wrt features!
@nate_bck@olliroskopf awesome, thanks! Certainly things we have on the radar, we will keep you posted on our progress on the meeting analytics side 😉 Meeting insights are currently in internal testing 😊
@britt_joiner Great to hear, thanks for your support! We use time-boxing a lot in our own daily stand-ups & weekly team demo's and help us to run smoothly ⏱
@britt_joiner Once you start timeboxing, you start doing it for most meetings. It just takes a few seconds and often shows if the agenda is realistic ;-)
Congratulations @robert_schuetze and team! This is awesome. More than the productivity bit, another aspect that excites me more is the fact of how it can encourage a more equitable participation. All the best
@archisman_das Yes definitely !that's something we focus on while building Verbally.
Often participants that have something valuable to contribute, but are just naturally less outgoing, are kept out of the discussion, just because someone monopolizes the discussion.
The assistant helps as a neutral observer that points out the "facts" without judging whether its good or bad.
Any other parts you see that we could be helpful with in terms of improving equitable participation?
@robert_schuetze Meeting Dynamics are a beast in themselves. I think there are quite a few folks who have good ideas but are introverted in nature. So you need to nudge them a bit to get them sharing their ideas. But often that requires someone who is a good at leading and moderating the meeting.
@archisman_das Yes i agree, thats our aspiration with our virtual assistant 😊
Please let us know your feedback once you gave Verbally a try in your meetings!
Thank you so much @rahul_nair93! Super happy to hear you like the design, we've been making a few iterations here & there. Shout out to our design guru @volkan_gunal1 💜
Amazing tool @robert_schuetze, congrats on the launch! 🎉
Can't wait for the 'Calendar Connector' - would definitely make a difference if I wouldn't need to add the tool to the participants each time manually.
I personally wouldn't mind installing something, but I agree 💯 that those tools should be low-touch and not interfere with users' existing work-flows.
Keep it up 🙌
I used several agenda timer before, but this one is the most impressive. Look at its sharp Look and smoothy animation, I am wondering how they do this, magic?
Congratulations, Robert! We designed this feature too, but your UI is much better than ours! It's also smart to resolve data from event details to use as the agenda timer. Interested in seeing how you handle control during the meeting, such as pausing the agenda or jumping to the next agenda.
@danielwayne
Thank you for the feedback Daniel! 💜
You can change everything on the fly by updating your meeting invite:
1) Change the timer 👉 edit the start/end time of the meeting
2) Change the content or duration of the agenda item 👉 simply edit the agenda in the meeting description
Click on "Save" (no need to send the update to everyone) 👉 The changes will be visible on the assistant screen a few seconds later
And pro tipp:
you can also put in sub bullet points if needed 😊
@robert_schuetze Great work! Maybe a customized brand watermark would be a pro feature. Also, are you trying to make a Chrome extension and Zoom app, I think it would provide a better UX, users could control all those in GMeet and Zoom client instead of jumping between 2 platforms. We are working on it :)
@robert_schuetze@danielwayne
Hey Daniel, thanks so much for your feedback & experience - super useful stuff and it's so nice & refreshing to be part of such a supportive PH community 💜
We're happy to say that we are able to support branded backgrounds right now (we call this Custom Background). Currently this just work in Google Meet, but Zoom's coming soon 🤞
In our FAQs under Tips & Tricks (https://www.verbally.io/faq) you can see the example from Omio there too. Plus it's freeeee! 😻
Steps to get a custom background:
- Check out the FAQs to see if you like what we can do for you
- Write to me! nathan@verbally.io and I'll send you over a template 🤓
- Send back the design & we'll implement this / @vgdub will do his magic in the earliest sprint 🪄
@danielwayne@nate_bck was quicker in answering the question 🏎
Regarding the Extensions for Zoom and Chrome, that is something we have on the roadmaps as well, to avoid jumping back and forth between 2 platforms as you said.
For you the main use case would be to interact with the Meeting timer and jumping to the next agenda point, or do you have any other use case in mind?
Awesome work @robert_schuetze
This definitely makes my Google Meet meetings way better.
Lets think about an integration with https://unping.com at some point :) would love to see it there as well.
@pmueller Thank you Philip! 💜Anything in particular that stands out for you? Or something that you are still missing?
Yes, let's talk regarding the integration to unping.com. We are always up for improving more meetings! 💪
@pmueller thanks for the feedback! Super useful to hear - we've heard this a few times so it definitely seems like a popular feature! We'll be sure to look into this and keep you posted
@kartik_sundar1 Thanks Kartik! Yes, definitely! 🚀And thanks for asking, it seems to come up quite a bit 😊 You can already sign up for our waitlist on our website, so we can keep you posted on our progress. So i guess you use mainly Microsoft Teams in your company?
Very cool product, congrats on the launch today! My favorite types of products are ones that are solving a REAL problem... which you totally are. Also appreciate your focus on this being a low-touch tool... seems to integrate so seamlessly into meetings. Excited to give it a try 🚀🤝
@hugh_lagrotteria Thanks Hugh, very much appreciate the kind words! 😻 We wanted it to integrate into your workflow, as everyone is using already so many tools and it's an effort to get used to yet another plattform/tool - so super glad to hear that you can resonate with our approach! Let us know how the assistant worked for you once you gave it a try! it literately takes 30 seconds to set it up 🚀
Or is there already anything that particularly stood out for you in terms of functionality?
@robert_schuetze I haven't used it quite yet, but did just share it with my co-founder @jonathan_nass. We're going to try it out during our next status call 💪
Congrats on the launch! I was looking for ways to increase meeting productivity for my team and this seems like the way to do it! Do you plan to have post-meeting features such as export tasks or decisions to a task management / documentation tool as well?
@cem_bulut Thanks for the Feedback Cem! Let us know your feedback once you tried out Verbally in your meetings!
Regarding the post-meeting features:
We currently have "Meeting insights & tips for improvements" in internal testing. An integration with task management / documentation tools (eg gdocs) is also on the roadmap.
To make sure you plan and stick to your meeting outcomes, we recommend to always put as a last agenda point a "Next steps (5 min)", so you can make sure, to wrap up the meeting properly and get everyone on the same page before the meeting is over.
