The first "baseless" email marketing tool. Unlike other marketing platforms that sync data Newsletters sits directly on top of your data warehouse, enabling you to query your user data in-place and send newsletters using the query results.
Hey Product Hunt,
We built Vero Newsletters because we think the best place for your customer data to live is in a database you control: your marketing software should simply read from *your* database rather than syncing and copying your user data across to *the vendor's* database.
Every marketing technology product out there today tries to be both your "customer data platform" AND your marketing software.
Vero Newsletters is fundamentally different: we don’t *want* to store your data! It’s what we're calling a “baseless” marketing platform and, in the future, we think it’ll be the norm.
**How does it work?**
🔌 Signup and plug Vero into a database like PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Airtable or GSheets.
🔍 Query your user data *inside* the database — no syncing — to build an audience.
💌 Create a great looking email and send it.
**What are the benefits? Why is this awesome? **
🚄 Get going fast. Instant access to all of the user data you’ve already got, wherever it lives.
💰Way cheaper. We only charge “for messages sent”, not “users stored” — because we don’t store your data, we don’t have to charge you for it.
🕵️♀️ Data privacy. Your user data is copied to less places.
**What are the main features?**
A bunch of features we think are worth mentioning:
• Query data directly in your data platforms (select a Google Sheet, write SQL against a SQL database, etc.)
• Drag-and-drop builder designed from the ground up on top of MJML.
• Send via our email domains or plug in Mailgun, Mailjet, Sendgrid and more.
• Bounce management.
• Vero Newsletters remembers recipient unsubscribes between sends.
• Built in send/delivery/open/click reporting.
• Schedule your newsletters.

We're stoked to be officially launching Vero Newsletters here today. We’d love your feedback on our direction and the product itself.
We’ll be here all day answering questions about the product, the direction or anything to do with customer messaging in general.
Thanks for having us!
We dropped Hubspot marketing to use this instead. I'm excited to stop wrangling data back and forth between systems.
This is an extremely disruptive idea. Any data store can now be your source of truth, and there's an email layer on top of it.
Reminds me of Headless CMS trend, but for email.
Thanks @lukethomas14 for the support here and for the years of comments and feedback — absolutely fundamental and can't say thanks enough! Looking forward to pushing this thing and hopefully disrupting in a big way :)
We are one of the first users of this Newsletter platform from Vero and it's a freaking gamechanger, even in it's first release! We're building complex Newsletters through a combination of SQL queries then using the data to build fusion calls dynamically and THEN using these json packets to build highly personalised emails in real time with not a single item of attribute data having to live or be maintained on the Newsletter platform itself. Can't wait to see the recurring feature, it will basically allow us to treat email like an extension to our platform/application .. not just a channel to bring people back (which in our case is an inferior UX) - great stuff guys!
Can't say thanks enough @vinaeco for being an early adopter, a champion and providing feedback. Looking forward to delivering a lot more on the platform and seeing you all keep pushing it to its limits!
All the best @chexton. Want to find an opportunity to play with this for https://skilledup.life. Ideal if you had a Wordpress Plugin.
Could this also handle transaction emails?
@manojranaweera At the moment we're only focusing on the Newsletters use case: a nice, narrow value proposition we can really nail whilst we build out the data side. Assuming customers love this approach as much as we do then looking at automation is a logical next step for sure.
We are working on a MySQL integration (not far away now) that might be a good approach for MySQL setups?
Thanks for the support @jessep + thanks for your feedback on our products as you've used them: it helps us build a better product/business. Really appreciate it :)
This makes so much sense. To send a simple message to your customers to list shouldn't require you to configure some integrated marketing technology tool into your stack just to send an email.
Vero is awesome. I switched to them last year after getting sick of Mailchimp's interface and complexity.
This update and the smaller changes you've been shipping recently look great. Congrats on the launch @chexton and team!
Big fan of Vero here. It really simplified things for us with the ability to build workflows AND handle marketing content.
Looking forward to trying the new newsletters! 👊
Thanks @stenpittet! Really appreciate the kind words + you being a customer. Look forward to hearing your thoughts when you crack open the new product (in time)!
I've been using Vero Newsletters for a while now and have to say it's amazing—finally no more inconsistent data or having to upload a list of users for a one-off send based on some randim attributes that are only available in the database. 👏
@danlohrm Thanks Daniel, we love having you as a customer, and we're very happy to hear you're removing roadblocks from your sends. That's one of the key reasons we built Vero Newsletters 🙌
