Vertoe is addressing the huge latent need of short term storage. The team bootstrapped the startup before joining Techstars in 2018. At that time, their primary users were travelers checking in and out of Airbnbs before catching their flight or landing in a city, who had a few hours to kill. But as Vertoe grows, user needs are evolving and I am fascinated.
It’s not only travelers but also concert goers, professionals in-between meetings, shoppers and more. Basically anyone who is tired of lugging around heavy bags is dropping them off almost instantly at one of Vertoe’s nearby locations that can be booked in less than 2 mins. In short, Vertoe is solving for convenience and providing instant gratification to an annoying problem that people don’t normally plan for but experience almost on a daily basis.
Vertoe is in 300+ locations across 25+ cities and has just launched its iOS app.

Surprisingly that's not been very hard as we are optimizing existing spaces in hotels, cafes, local shops etc. Anyone who wants to monetize that space writes to us before we vet them and sign them up. We currently have over 300+ strategic locations across 25+ cities. Let me know if I can clarify anything else.
Vertoe is an incredible service. SO easy to use. I had to check out of my airbnb at 11AM but my flight wasn't until 6PM -- instead of going to the airport, I used Vertoe so I didn't have to sit at the airtport for the rest of the day. HUGE fan

Our Story:
Vertoe started as a weekend experiment after a vacation trip when my wife Neha and I were stuck lugging our suitcases on our last day after checking out of our Airbnb apartment. Through our subsequent research we saw that, out of 2.2Bn trips in the US alone, over 20% of travelers felt the need to store their bags/personal items at some point in their trip. The outcome of our research became the foundation for creating a company that would provide short term storage for anyone, anytime. As immigrants and a married couple in New York City, Neha and I had a hard decision to make, but we chose to go all in on building our new company full time. I quit my job as a Product Manager at Google, got accepted into Techstars NYC Winter ‘18 program and raised a small seed round of $1.85M through Ingwe Capital, FFVC and a few angel investors. Now, Vertoe is present in 300+ locations across 25+ cities in the U.S. And today we are very excited to announce the launch of our new iOS app on Product Hunt.

Pros: super easy-fast booking places and wide offers of places , I always found a super close place near where I was

@helena_domo Thank you for being a loyal user of Vertoe :) We are so happy to know that you find the service useful. We are focussed on expanding to more cities as soon as possible. Currently in 25+ cities in US and have just introduced a few locations in Canada and Thailand.
I've used Vertoe a bunch of times and it really fills a cool niche in travel needs. I was visiting NYC a while back for a wedding and I arrived in the city around 8pm on the Friday, just in time to meet my friends for dinner - that is, as long as I didn't go to my Airbnb to drop off my bag. It was super easy to find a Vertoe location right in the East Village where I was meeting everyone for dinner and then instead of dragging the bag to the restaurant and several bars afterwards, I just picked it up before hopping in my Lyft to get to my Airbnb at the end of the night. Was no problem picking up my bag at 2am or whatever it was - cost about half of a single pint at NYC bars, was safe, convenient, easy. Really solid product and user experience.

A great service for any traveler going to the US who needs to find an easy way to drop their bags and explore the city more freely. I only wish it was available in more countries! ;)

Such an awesome product. I was traveling a few weeks ago and Vertoe basically saved my business trip. Took me 5 minutes to get up and running, found a spot to check in my luggage and I was good to go.

Vertoe is an incredible service with applications for both travel and in your home city. I constantly recommend it to my Airbnb guest looking to store luggage outside of checkout times, in addition to using it if I have done a lot of shopping and need to go to an event.
