Hi, my name is Vrinda, and I am the co-founder of Vidya. I have been teaching online for more than 5 years now, I realized that learners don't engage as their camera is off and the audio is muted. It becomes challenging to get a true sense of how the lecture went! And discussing this problem with my teacher network, this problem was seeking a solution. Ribhu, my co-founder, resonates with the idea and has executed the entire tech. Vidya provides insights on - Which learners show high and low engagement during sessions - Which learners do or do not understand the topics - Which topics were understood less (so you can evaluate if anything needs to be revisited) All this, without any format tests or exams, and right at the end of each session (instead of waiting for tests/exams, i.e., lagging indicators). Vidya also evaluates attendance based on learner participation, so if learners do not engage in your classrooms, you can treat them as absent (or, as we like to call it, "mentally absent"). A little background: I have worked in the education industry for 10 years and contributed to successful ed-tech startups' content and strategy teams. My Co-founder, Ribhu, has tech and product experience and was heading the Product team at a YC startup before starting Vidya.us with me. Any instructor, in academics or corporate vertical, faces this challenge, where it is hard to get visibility on learner engagement and understanding, and there is no way for org/individuals to retrospect on lecture delivery and content. We designed this software from the ground up, so it is super simple for educators to use Vidya in daily life; it can work on all screen sizes and be integrated into any LMS.
