Voicenotes is an intelligent note-taking app. Record your thoughts freely, get them transcribed using state-of-the-art AI, and ask about every word you spoke.
Hello everyone!
My wife Aleesha and I built something that we’ve been using every single day...
Voicenotes.com is an AI note-taker that’s truly intelligent. Record your thoughts freely, get them transcribed using state-of-the-art AI, and ask about every word you spoke.
We just published a video to celebrate the launch: https://twitter.com/jijosunny/st...
Happy to answer any questions, but otherwise, we appreciate all your support. 🙏❤️🔥

@elizabeth_cooper2@anilagrawal64@radu_lupu@art_prokopenko Thanks, appreciate the kind words folks ❤️
@joeyfigaro It's stored on Amazon S3 (like iCloud) and we use presigned URLs to allow access to authenticated users. Because all the best-in-class AI models are hosted, self-hosting is not an option, unless open source models really catch up. :)
@max_savonin1 Great questions, Max. We're working on full export features as well as integrations (Zapier, Readwise, and eventually webhook). I'll reach out to you post-launch re your other suggestions - would love to learn more. Meanwhile, I wrote this FAQ covering more about the product: https://help.voicenotes.com/en/a...
This is neat, is there a reason you don't support text input as well? What if people want to record a note in a loud place, or if people are sleeping, etc?
Love it! Are you using the OpenAI Whisper API to transcribe the notes? We built a faster, more affordable and API-compatible alternative at https://lemonfox.ai/. Let me know if you are interested.
I've been a user for 1 month+ now and recently upgraded to paid. This just works perfectly for my needs. Before the iOS app came out, it got a place on my home screen as a browser shortcut! Loving it.
I use this primarily to capture random thoughts that flash into my mind randomly. Happens the most when I am running or driving.
Feature requests:
* Watch app
* Carplay app
Hope to see them soon!
Since incorporating Voice Notes into my daily routine, I've observed a significant acceleration in my writing process.
Previously, fleeting thoughts would either go uncaptured or end up as poorly written, incoherent notes that failed to evolve into structured written pieces.
Where once only a fraction of my ideas would make it to a hastily jotted down form—often ending up as a jumble of words in my digital note-taking app, never to be revisited—things have drastically changed. With Voice Notes, the instant a thought arises, it's captured clearly and concisely, ready to be refined, organized, and used effectively.
Whether it's for communicating ideas, sharing thoughts, composing emails, or drafting blog posts, this tool has transformed my ability to turn spontaneous ideas into meaningful content. What stands out to me, aside from the obvious improvement in thought capture and processing, is the app's user interface. It's straightforward and intuitive, making the experience of using Voice Notes not just productive but genuinely enjoyable.
This seamless integration into my workflow encourages regular use and opens up possibilities for revisiting and refining thoughts at a later date, something I greatly appreciate.
In summary, voice notes.com has become an indispensable part of my daily writing and thought-capturing process. Its impact on my productivity and the quality of my work is profound. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their creative process.
This product review, incidentally was created using the Voice Notes app and a single AI prompt within the Voice note app to make the draft coherent. (https://voicenotes.com/s/6NLxd9)
Cheers @aleesha_john and @jijosunny for building this amazing product.
Great launch. I'm a fan of AudioPen, but Voicenotes is even faster for quick capture and transcription, and public sharing now with a recent update. Super clean and simple to use.
I have used this app for a few days now, I will probably upgrade to the paid account.
Love how active the devs are and how fast the product is improving. I see a lot of potential here. Voice notes aren't how I'd usually want to create notes personally, but I think it'll help with articulating myself and allow me to work faster. The AI addition is a great benefit too - I can only see this getting better and better.
Good luck with the product launch!
@jijosunny & Aleesha, congrats on the launch! I've been using Voicenotes for about a month now, and it's been my go-to app and one of the most utilized (#120 of 9965! in the rankings): great work, and congrats on such a great offering that drives tremendous value at an affordable cost!
I love this product's refined simplicity. I've used a lot of notetaking apps, but this has been by far the stickiest and most utilized. Keep up the great work, and I'm glad I was an early adopter of this gem!
I think I've never reviewed an app here in PH, but this one...
This app, which I've been (happily) using for over a month now (and decided to pay for it right in the beginning), it's the real AI powered app that I really needed. I'm using for register personal journals for me, my family and friends.
A real life saver and also my truest second brain for the moment. It's the first app that I actively use in the morning and the last of the day.
Couldn't recommend more, to be honest.
I've been using this app for about a month now and love it. I wasn't a fan of voice notes, but it now feels really natural to share my thoughts with it.
The transcription is spot on, and I love being able to search through my previous thoughts. Using the AI features is great for understanding insight and context around your notes. I regularly use it for a daily journal, and I'm starting to use it to capture notes for writing tweets and blog posts.
I signed up to the believer plan after only a few days of using it. I look forward to seeing the expanded features on their roadmap and think it'll be even more useful. 🎉
I've used different note-taking tools, from Google Docs to Evernote, but nothing worked. Manual data entry was a big bottleneck for a lazy ass like me. Lately, I have been using WhatsApp Groups to store these thoughts.
I used to create a group with a friend, kick him/her out, and then have me as the group's sole member. Then, I drop voice notes that I hear when traveling or stuck somewhere.
But still searching was a big problem. Voicenotes solved those problems, and I'm glad I got a lifetime deal.
I'm a little early to this. Just learned about it today, and then INSTANTLY purchased the whatever-they-called-it upgrade that let me buy it for life or whatever. This is *exactly* the functionality that I wanted. I *thought* was getting it from pi.ai (sorry, Reid and Mustafa), but I'm all for this.
I wanted a way to audio journal and then query the responses, and this requires a concept of "memory," and while pi.ai said they could remember things, that proved to be inaccurate.
Keep in mind, this is day 1 of me using this app. Maybe I'll feel grumpy about this too. Only...wait for it... time will tell. (That was lame. But then, so am I.)
@chrisbrogan High praises, but won't let you down. We're obsessed about offering the best possible memory of your notes. And the models keeps getting better!
Looks really cool, and seems to work very smoothly! I've tried to achieve something like this using a custom GPT but that obviously gets very messy, so I've definitely been looking for something like this.
I also really like the "names to remember" feature, since I have noticed in the ChatGPT app that while it does understand my Swedish very well almost always, sometimes it insists in having "heard" the strangest things, that are not even real words 😂
One tiny thing I thought about would be that the automatic summary (title) would be even more nice if it was done in the same language as the transcription itself instead of always in English!
Edit: I notice the same thing with other features such as summaries and to-do lists etc.
Should likely be an easy fix if you add an instruction in the system prompts for these to follow the same language as the transcription itself!
