I tried two Chinese voice clonings with the free credits. One of them is not as expected but the other one is mind-blowingly impressive, and it is way better than ElevenLabs for the same source audio.
I actually used the same source audio for both clonings. The only difference is that I applied noise reduction and human voice separation on the first audio to generate the second cloning's audio. Any chance your team could add such automatic preprocessing? It would make the user experience even more magical!
Thank you for your feedback and for trying out our voice cloning feature! We're glad to hear that you found the voice clonings impressive and better than some other platforms. We'll definitely consider incorporating these preprocessing features to make the users life more easier. Stay tuned for updates ๐
Most comments are on voice cloning and TTS, the speech-to-text functionality isn't getting enough attention. You should plan a better launch for the speech-to-text feature, possibly as a separate launch, especially since you're offering the same model as OpenAI at a lower price.
My team just tried the speech to text functionality and it works so well. Personally I really love the src file download and the cool audio player with transcript sync!
Many other platforms we were using have too many fancy and complex features, and we had to pay for those features with expensive audio transcriptions. That's why we are using OpenAI's Whisper API for our work right now. Seems you are also using Whisper as the speech recognition model, how did your team manage to be even cheaper than OpenAI?
@henry_miller_tech_guy . Thank you for your insightful feedback! You're right; our speech-to-text feature deserves more attention, and a dedicated launch could indeed help highlight its capabilities. We'll consider this for our future marketing strategies.
As for our pricing, while we do use OpenAI's Whisper model, we've optimized our infrastructure to reduce costs, which allows us to pass those savings on to our users. It's also important to note that our processing speed is slower than OpenAI's because we use more cost-effective GPUs. This means that although we offer the same quality as OpenAI, we do not support real-time processing or transcriptions.
GoundBreaking Launch!! I thought your team already launched VoiceVector but seems this is the first launch! Congrats!
I am glad to be your trial users and I have cloned almost 150 voices for multiple customers of my customer service web app. And thanks for incorporating my feedback about showing the estimated price for each TTS request in the official launched product.
One question: Does your team have any plan to make any limitations on the number of voice clonings? I know other platforms such as ElevenLabs has 30 limitations, and I really hope there is no limit for my case.
@okay_x_customer_serv Thank you for your support and for being an early user of VoiceVector! We're thrilled to officially launch and appreciate your valuable feedback, especially regarding the estimated price display for TTS requests.
Regarding your question, we currently do not have plans to impose a limit on the number of voice clonings. Our goal is to provide flexibility and meet the diverse needs of our users, including those with extensive requirements like yours. If we consider any changes in the future, we will ensure to communicate them well in advance.
I visited your website, and if I understand correctly, I could purely use pay as you go pricing, right? Can you explain more about using both subscription and pay as you go model? How does it work?
@little_voice_library Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in VoiceVector! Yes, you can indeed use our pay-as-you-go pricing model, which allows you to pay only for what you use, with no upfront commitments.
For using both pricing models, you can start with a subscription for your regular usage and switch to pay-as-you-go for any additional usage beyond your monthly subscription credits.
Congrats for the official launch ๐ ! As the developer of kids apps startup, I began to use VoiceVector as the TTS technology for the V2 of one of my apps as one early adopter.
I did not use the voice cloning yet since the pre provided voices are already quite natural and good enough for my app. The improvement over my previous TTS solutions (iOS/Android native TTS engines and some well-known services) is night and day. I saw two 4 star ratings on the App Store for the V2 of my app due to the better quality of voices.
Thank you for the kind words and congrats. We're thrilled to hear that VoiceVector has real good impact on your app. Congratulations on the improved ratings on the App Storeโhere's to many more!
@lucas_lyu Regarding the 3 free voice clonings, we are enabling them and sending emails to existing users this week.
If you ever decide to explore our voice cloning and speech recognition features, we'd love to hear your feedback.
