Hey Product Hunt. I’m Mayank Jain, the founder of Wally.
What is Wally?
Wally is building a seamless onboarding infrastructure for Web3 apps starting with the most elegant embedded crypto wallet experience on the market. We help blockchain-enabled companies serve and acquire more customers so that together we can bridge Web2 and Web3.
We believe that the next iteration of crypto apps will have no seed phrases, gasless transactions, credit card checkout, and no confusing messages or transactions to sign. We built Wally so that every dApp can create a seamless user experience, without all the effort of building and maintaining those features in house.
Who are we?
Previously, I led the onboarding and retention team at Reddit. One of the most impactful changes was simplifying the sign up process, which led to a 5x increase in daily sign ups. If picking a username is that hard for people, imagine what requiring them to download Metamask and write down a seed phrase is doing to your sign up flow(!). Reddit really took these learnings to heart when they launched their collectible avatars, and were able to onboard 3M wallets by abstracting away all the complexities of using a crypto app.
We started Wally to translate these learnings over to the crypto space to help bring on the next 1 billion people to crypto and bridge the gap between web2 and web3.
Our team consists of former engineers from Reddit, Metamask, Roblox, and CapitalOne and we’re backed by top VCs like Afore and Engineering Capital along with some amazing angels like Justin Kan (Twitch co-founder), Shiva Rajaraman (Head of Product @ OpenSea), Lydia Hylton (Bain Capital Crypto), Sriram Krishnan, and many more.
How do I get started?
If you want to start using Wally, you can sign up for an API key today at https://app.wally.xyz/signup.
If you want to start exploring what our API can offer, check out our developer docs: https://docs.wally.xyz!
And we're looking for 2 customers where we can do a white glove install with you using our new SDK. We'll do all the work, and you can decide if it's a good fit. Send us a blurb about your app at mayank@wally.xyz to get started.
Super excited to hear your feedback and answer any questions!
Looking forward,
Mayank
If there are no seed phrases or complicated setups, how are you storing private key information? Is this through your own storage solution as a service, and if so how does this approach match up with the decentralised approach of most web3 associated content?
@bhouwens Hi Byron! We are using MPC via Shamir's Secret Sharing currently. So part of the key is owned by wally, part of it is owned by the end user, and part of it is owned by the developer of the application. That means that no single party has the ability to use/access the key on their own, and even if the user loses their keyshare, the application developer can help them regenerate it.
We are proud to be part of pilot projects using Wally. Our experience with Wally has been seamless in helping us onboard our web2 users from our mobile game to web3.
@manuel_maccou1 it's a multiparty wallet where the keyshares are shared between wally, the app developer and the end user. this helps mitigate the risk of the user getting locked out of their wallet by losing their keyshare, while ensuring that no one party has full control of the wallet
Hey Product Hunt! I’m Jeremie and I’m Wally’s GTM Lead.
I work with our customers at stages from figuring out if Wally is a good fit or not, to supporting them with a successful implementation and beyond to build out their user acquisition flywheels.
Background on me – and why Wally?
At a previous startup, I built a filterable database of 11M+ web3-native profiles (on-chain data + social data from Twitter, Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn) so that orgs selling and marketing to web3 identities could prospect and engage leads at scale.
My team got customers and early traction, but we wound down the product because we didn’t see a venture outcome. At the time, not enough dApps and crypto-native companies were at the stage where direct sales and engagement was a priority.
There, I saw a real need to accelerate the amount of dApps and dApp users in the space. And going through, I thought the biggest blocker to mass adoption was navigating blockchain-native UX so I was thrilled to find out one of my previous startup’s angel investors was also an investor in Wally.
How can I help?
Feel free to ask me anything in the comments below, or grab time with me here to chat through: https://calendly.com/d/d54-gdd-9...
Excited to chat through!

I totally agree that the onboarding experience into web3 (NFTs, wallets, crypto) is totally broken. It just feels inaccessible to someone who doesn't have tons of hours to spend getting acquainted. I think this will be huge in improving adoption! Congrats Mayank!
great product, I think wally could promote web3 to mass adoption faster.
something confusing right now after reading the doc
1. no API to get ERC20 Token balance
2. how to check or notice transactions minted, seem to need webhook API
3. does the NFT id contain the contract id? cause no need to pass the contract id in transfer API.
Hey team, so I love the idea. Onboarding and ramp on solutions are big demand space in web3 to unlock the current complexities that exist in these very early days. I was super excited and went to your website to review and saw the demo feature which I really love. However some feedback when attempting to test, I was blocked at step 1. I never got the verification email (yes I checked junk mail). I tried twice and had no luck. Would love help and if not isolated perhaps a good one to fix
