Love it :)
Quick question... Is it supposed to substitute your profile picture too? https://imgur.com/s1sPYCN (it's not a spider, i have the same image as in product hunt)
@aguilaair_tech :D No, it shouldn't do that by intention. But given that it replaces images based on string-matches i would guess, that there's some spider-y word in the URL, title or alt-text? Would love to see if I can figure out why this happens. Is there a publicly reachable link?
@aguilaair_tech@flownotes I'm afraid not. However, I noticed it only happens is the google search term is spider-y. So if I search spider, it will get replaced, and if I search any other thing it wont :)
@aguilaair_tech Ha! Got it. The reason is that Google is encoding the search URL in the "continue" parameter. So your profile picture is embedded in a link that refers to a spidery site. My rationale was that images in links to spider sites are likely to also be spidery. <- That was how I was able to catch many of the unnamed photo results.
This was the result of an idle Saturday morning breakfast conversation. Someone mentioned that they were surprised by a spider image in the news. And with them not being terribly fond of looking at the eight-legged web creators, I figured that it might be useful.
By the way, spider detection is keyword-based but works surprisingly well. Oh and a lesson learned: Pictures of spiderman are not replaced. ;)
