Weโre on a mission to enable everyone to create for the web. We built a time machine, traveled to the future, and brought back all the tools we need to teach web design and development visually.
That's hilarious, I was on Indiehacker the other week telling some new folks how to they should use Webflow to get started if they want to save time, they asked me for resources and I just looked up a few vids from Webflow university and linked them - this is just perfect timinig! I hope the folks are still learning and will see the new university content!
Wonderful job over here Webflow team! What was the biggest learning, improvement that you made when building WU 2.0? What's something you thought you'd add to WU, but later decided to hold off on?
as a nocode-er, the value prop is kind of missed on me. What's separating learning design "visually" from what is already out there? i.e. it just doesn't make sense up front as to why I'd dig deeper and choose Webflow U vs all these other tools to learn the same/similar. Help?!
@stephenalan Hey Stephen, it's the ability to be able to design visually, but also have a website that creates clean structured code. You have very few limitations in what you can create compared to other tools which are more template driven and therefore more restrictive, or drag and drop creators which create more bloated and often slower websites.
We have this incredible learning platform with hours and hours of highly produced content, plus an incredibly supportive community to help you if you get stuck. The jokes are free... well so is the University content come to think of it.
๐ Love the work the Webflow team have been doing to help democritise web design and dev.
I've spent most of lockdown learning Webflow and i'm totally blown away by what i can do. The Webflow uni has been a huge help for me.
Look forward to checking this out ๐๐ป
This is awesome! Webflow university was already somewhere I directed people to but this one is even better!
It seems like there are a lot more advanced level courses, and the breakdown between beginner and advanced is more clear. It's cool to see both levels catered to!
Echoing @chuck_braman, for those of us who have worked through the material, how do we find the new material? Is it up yet? If not, when will it be? Will it be communicated what is new and what is update? Thanks.
@chuck_braman@johnbhiggins This launch is just the beginning. Starting Tuesday, we're releasing 2 lessons every week. Our team have worked on a whole new set of lessons and courses with a whole new standard and curriculum. You are already able to find new and featured stuff on our homepage. Check it out if you havenโt already!๐๐
Thatโs a great update. I tried the previous version of Webflow University to create a startup site and University was helpful but this new version is top notch and more complete.
Awesome stuff!
My cofounder and I launched our product SparkLoop on Product Hunt today and we used Webflow to design our marketing site even though we're both developers!
Thanks and keep up the awesome work!
Love Webflow and became a hell of a lot more productive in getting my ideas out because of the University. As an intermediate user, my biggest leap forward was customizing integrations for a research platform and would like to see more videos on integrations that can expand it.
Also more McGuire and Grรญmur.
@ravi_bajnath this is amazing feedback and this launch is just the beginning!! Starting Tuesday, we're releasing 2 lessons every week so check it out! We have a new set of lessons and courses that will be released in the coming week month and year. ๐คฉ
So proud of all the work that went into this relaunch. Your design work is stunning, @saralundberg1! And @grimurgrimsson your reactions are my fave in this video. GO TEAM. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
The Yaguara team are heavy users of Webflow, and it is the most divine intuitive tool in the game. This is just another great resource by them.
Feel free to ask me or @greg_parker1 anything!
Webflow University is THE BEST WAY TO LEARN DESIGN AND CODE ON EARTH, period. Congrats to the team for this world class job. 1.0 was a work of art but 2.0 sets a standard for what video training should look like. Again, Bravo ๐๐
