I know that it's meant to be used for wireframes (which is awesome) but I also wanted to point out that this has got probably the best flowchart creator I've seen as well. So intuitive and easy to use! Not to mention beautiful. 💯

@alirtariq Thanks Ali! Much appreciated 👊🏼

Your open graph preview says "Design better application and website". I feel like that should be applications and websites....just an fyi.
Kaspars Dancis
@itsthisjustin thanks for noting. It was supposed to be ""Design better application and website mockups." but I guess it got trimmed. Will get it fixed 🔨

Looking really cool, awesome job guys!

So just got done playing with the free account. This is a really awesome tool for rapid prototyping. Just one thing that struck me as odd....Why are the device frames not masks for your content? How am I supposed to put a colored header at the top of the iPhone X? My rectangles cover the notch. 😖 I also have to waste time lining up my shapes to match the size of device viewport. If it was a mask I could be faster and sloppier with it and it would still look perfect. Something to consider, thanks!
Kaspars Dancis
@metalhaze hey Alex, thanks for feedback - good points. we are planning to add masks to frames

Any plans to tie these products together? e.g. going from flow chart/mind map to screen wires using shared information architecture artifacts. I'm currently using MindNode for rapid information architecture capture during ideation sessions (keyboard shortcuts are key), Realtimeboard for organizing larger information artifacts, flow charts, moodboards and some light wireframing and finally Basalmiq for click-through wireframes. All the segmented information architecture is a pain to keep updated as further ideation sessions/iterations take place. Huge gap in the market with this right now.

@chanjohnathan Hey John, this is a fantastic idea. We are definitely wanting all of the products to be tied together. In fact, one of the reasons we started building Whimsical is because we witnessed the fragmentation of tools & documents like you mentioned. Stay tuned! We'll likely start connecting the products more formally once we have Sticky Notes launched :) https://www.producthunt.com/upco...

@chanjohnathan @steveschoeffel Is there any news on making every components work together?
Steve Schoeffel
@chanjohnathan @dtlvan No update yet but it's something we're continuing to think about. Mindmaps will come first and then we'll see!

It's like Axure done right. You explained the world the rough prototypes shouldn't look awful.

@steveschoeffel, this is freakking top notch. Well done. Awesome.

Hey Product Hunters! 👋🏼 I’m super pumped to introduce Whimsical Wireframes to you all. A few months ago we launched Flowcharts. Wireframes is the second product in the Whimsical suite and we can’t wait for you to try it out. We built Wireframes to be fast, simple, and collaborative. Fast: It comes loaded with a rich library of searchable and configurable UI elements that work exactly the way you want them to. Simple: The interface is streamlined and minimal. It’s simple enough for non-designers to use and full-time designers will feel right at home. Collaborative: You can have unlimited teammates working in the same wireframe document at the same time. Or if you prefer async, you can leave comments right inside the wireframes. We wrote a blog post that has a bunch more details here: https://whimsical.co/design/fast... Happy to answer any questions. We’d love to hear what you think!

This is the easiest diagramming app I have ever used. And the new wireframe feature is also extremely intuitive and great for quick ideas. While not as feature-rich as some others, it seems their intent was speed and simplicity over complexity, and they succeeded.

Pros:

super simple UX, fast, well thought out interaction model

Cons:

none

I've been using this to work out flowcharts of new processes and strategies and it's been an absolute treat to use. Great to see wireframes being added by the Whimsical folks. Looking forward to seeing this grow and expand.

Pros:

Slick interface, super easy to use.

Cons:

Absolutely none. Works as expected.

Looking very nice! Love Whimsical Flowcharts already, can't wait to give Wireframes a spin!
Rachid
Wow.... Currently using LucidChart... but your wireframing looks fantastic.... Checking it out.

Whimsical becomes my only design tool, it even replaces Figma in the workflow.
Vladimir

I love your diagrams tool! It replaced all the other software I used for diagrams. Very excited to try wireframes now.

Pros:

fast, clean

Cons:

Would be great to see more subscription options, something between 4 boards and unlimited

It's really painful to draw the flow chart on the MAC. The Whimsical Wireframes are very beautiful. Before the feedback, the Chinese input problem can't be solved. Hopefully, it can support Chinese viewing and direct RMB payment.
Andy Shrinivas
Terrific start, guys. Tried both the wireframes and Flowchart. Works perfectly with no lag. If this is the beta, I can't wait to see what the fully fledged thing looks like! 🤩🤩

Looks better than Balsamiq... I'll give it a shot

I liked too much waiting for more templates
