Napster changed the way people consume media (i.e., precursor to youtube, itunes) and also first commercial use of p2p technologies

I'm curious what the music industry would look like if Napster never existed. It seems that online, advertising-subsidized music streaming was inevitable.

When I think to an incredible product, ahead of its time like almost nothing, I think to Napster. Magnificent.
