Congrats on the launch! Looks pretty cool, how does it work exactly? How do you screen share your window?
Sonali Ranjit
@rubenwolff These are prerecorded 10 minute submissions of window views :)

Fun concept, it kinda makes you feel like a guest in somebody's house and it's sort of humbling to see all these things going on in the same time in the world while you go on with your own day.

This is truly beautiful! It catches the very changing nature of reality itself and helps you explore it from multiple new perspectives. Love it ❤️

What a fun and refreshing concept! Definitely makes you feel connected to the world especially in a pandemic where most people don't have the luxury to travel around. Would love to download this!

Was already such a huge fan of 1.0! At one point I had a daily routine to put WindowSwap on my monitor while I wrote. Also love the video! Such a beautiful collaborative project. Really captures the resilient spirit during the pandemic. Thanks for creating this!

Love it Would be cool to add reactions or maybe even a chat ( although chats can be problematic ) Reactions would be good to confirm to the user WindowSwapping that people like their view and they should keep on live-ing

this is fantastic! it would be good to add a little chat for the people that are looking at the window.

@ivan_achille Yes, that's a great idea! In the pipeline :)

👋 Hey ProductHunt, Sonali and Vaishnav here, co-founders of ProductHunt. Since we put out the first, ultra-simple version of WindowSwap - it viral around the world, with tens of thousands of window submissions from over 120 countries, a passionate community of 400k-500k visitors every month and 50k followers on Instagram. In the past few months we’ve been working closely with the WindowSwap community to build out some amazing features while still retaining the minimalist essence of the site intact. 🎉 And since the launch of Window V2, less than 3 months ago, we've already at 100k signups! Here's what's new - You can now create a profile on WindowSwap - Bookmark your favourite windows - A brand new ‘Submission’ page: We have made it super easy for you to submit your videos. No more janky google forms. We’ve also given you the option to tag what’s in your video. You will also be alerted via email as your window progressed through the queue and approval process. - Track the views on your window. You can now see the number of people who have gazed out of your window. You’ll see this on the ‘Your Windows’ page. (These stats are private to you - we still don’t want to turn this into a window competition.) - Map the location of each window WindowSwap has grown from being a Pandemic Passion Project to place people return to for travel inspiration and calm. Thank you everyone. We hope you like and support this indie project :)

@sonaliranjit This is amazing and a wonderful idea! I'd love to see an Android TV app which acts like a screen saver - giving us the possibility to look out of open windows from the TV when it is idle.

Innovative concept, I liked it. It's like being teleported magically from one place to another instantly. Could you also add comments section for each window - to leave thoughts, remarks, ask questions?

This is a good idea. I thought about this a few years ago. My plan was a little elaborate: Make a windowpane that acts as a screen and a camera on the exterior. So, when it swaps a window, literally you can see the screen as if you are looking out of someone else's window and similarly someone else can stream your window view using the camera. I still want to make that someday :) But this effort is a good start. Good job and best of luck

So simple. Very nice. Would like to see comments from the sharers. Maybe the same view at different times of day/season.

Such a great idea! Thanks for sharing, I found a lot of interesting information here. A really good post. MyBalanceNow

Are they live or pre-recorded?
Sonali Ranjit
@ryan_roberts1 They are pre-recorded 10 minute videos. Helps us quality control, and avoid any bad surprises, especially since a lot of teachers and students use the website.
