I was a little sceptical at first cuz I'm usually conservative on commerical products. That all changed after using it. The output image looks great, esp I choose the ISo image as output profile. So far sogood.

I used to count on makemkv for ripping both my dvd and blu-ray discs. Yet, this time makemkv won't recognize my spider man dvd. luckily, winx ripper did and turn my disc to mp4, as well. So far, so good!

My son is a sailor and I have to use dvd ripper to copy some DVD movies for him to watch on his laptop or TV via USB drive while underway. Handbrake only supports a small part of my old dvds, not the latest discs. Thankfully, this one does the job well. The output quality is excellent.

I don't have the new version but I have been using version 8.20 for about 2 years. Works great, never had any problems.
