Hey, Product Hunt! 👋 We’re putting Wishlist out to the public today! It originally started as a personal project, acting as an extension of Amazon’s wishlist feature. We developed it into something quicker, easier to use & more accessible when sharing with friends and family. We have a couple of cool features, including continuing to show items in your lists, even if they’ve been purchased. On the flip side, your public link will hide any items that have been purchased to prevent duplicate giftings. (If you want to spoil your gifts you’ll have to log out and then go into each list to assess what’s missing! 👀) We also included an “expiry” feature for showing purchased items. If you’re creating a list for Christmas, you can set the expiry date as the 25th December. Any purchased items will continue to appear until that date, afterwards they’ll move to the “purchased” tab. After scraping an item’s details from a URL, the fields are editable to make any changes & you can also add comments (like shoe sizes or colour choices.) Overall, we’re really pleased with how this has turned out! Like I said earlier, it started life as a personal project but we’ve put made public in the hope that some others will find it useful, too 🙏 We’re in the process of adding affiliate links to generate a small stream of revenue, as well as a browser extension and eventually a mobile app. We’d love to hear your thoughts!
