Wondering is the AI-first user testing platform that helps you recruit participants, moderate your user tests and turn your responses into insights with purpose-trained AI.
Throughout 2024, we’ve been at work building a new kind of AI-powered user insights platform. Today, we’re excited to share Wondering 2.0, with four big updates that help anyone understand their customers with AI-moderated research. Here’s what’s new in Wondering 2.0:
🏗️ Let AI build your research studies:
Creating a new study used to involve guesswork or a bunch of repeated questions. Now, Wondering’s built-in AI Study Builder can generate a study based on your research goals in seconds. We’ve trained it on best practices so you don’t accidentally lead respondents or forget essential questions.
🕵️♀️ AI-moderated live website testing, prototype testing, and user interviews:
Hearing from your customers is the lifeblood of every growing product-led company. With our AI-moderated studies, you can interview participants at scale without compromising on the quality of insights you get. Wondering’s AI moderator lets you run AI-led user interviews, surveys, website tests, and prototype reviews all in one place—no more stitching together multiple tools.
🌎 Moderate user conversations in over 50 languages with AI:
Gone are the days of paying for outside study translations or restricting your study to just one language. Our AI moderator can translate your studies on the fly and keep conversations with participants in over 50 languages, making it much simpler to understand what users in different markets think.
🗂️ AI-powered thematic analysis:
Our new AI-powered thematic analysis automatically applies highlights to your response data from interviews, prototype tests, live website tests, and surveys. Then, it analyzes each of these highlights to uncover thematic groups, before further synthesizing them into actionable findings to help you interpret what’s important in your response data.
Why are we excited about the future of AI-powered customer research? It’s clear that platforms like Wondering can help any researcher, designer, or builder cut back on the most tedious parts of research and focus on what really matters: understanding customers’ needs and creating experiences they love.
As the engineering lead on Wondering, I couldn't be prouder of what we've built with Wondering 2.0. This has been a year of pushing boundaries, tackling challenges, and refining what AI can do to make customer research not just easier but genuinely insightful.
One of the things I’ve loved most about this journey is seeing how the team came together to take abstract ideas—like AI-powered moderation and thematic analysis—and turn them into tools that feel seamless and intuitive for our users. It’s been amazing to see these tools in action, uncovering insights that might otherwise be buried in the data.
A huge shoutout to everyone who contributed—this launch is a testament to innovation.
Here’s to helping everyone understand their customers better. 🚀
