I've got a beta invite to WOO ( then highr.io) and even though I'm not looking for a job, I registered anyway.
I have to say, there's something there! It's quite nice to get job offers with real numbers instead of pings from HR people no linked in.
I see a great future for this platform, for the dormant part of the tech industry that isn't actively looking for a job but deep down wants something better.
Great job guys, keep killing it!
@isnotahippy
Services like Hired.com were built for people that are actively looking for job and are ready to make quick decisions.
The majority of us are not in that state -
We built WOO for the majority of people who are curious about their demand in the market, or to check if they can get something they specifically want (relocation, promotion, work on new technologies, better compensation etc.) - Most of us would love to get these answers but without investing any time or being labeled a job seeker.
This is exactly what WOO offers. Here are some of our key values:
1. You are completely anonymous - we built a technology that actually anonymises your profile (and doesn't just remove your name and contact info). We remove the companies you work/ed at and put up a general description instead (i.e A mobile developer working at a startup specialising in consumer goods with 200-450 employees)
2. You don't get spammed by recruiters with irrelevant offers - WOO is like a "gatekeeper" - we only let companies approach you if they can meet your terms so every approach you get from a company is highly relevant (This is why our response rate is 75%)
3. You can use WOO regardless of if you are looking for new opportunity or not - WOO is designed to first help give you knowledge about your true options so that you can even take the insights you get from WOO to ask for a raise or promotion from your current manager, that's totally fine.
Hope that helps :)
@kenbrian Thanks. Actually you have, you can select in the expectations part "Work form home - all week" and only companies that can offer it to you will be able to approach you :)
I like the concept, but I ran into two issues signing up: Checking one "Contact me if..." box initiated an endless alert loop. The second attempt to register it logged me out mid-experience form. Perhaps another day. Good luck guys!
@gernerpsu We didn't get this feedback yet, we would love to fix it asap and get more details about it, if you can send more info to support.c@woo.io it will be great
@as_austin Thanks! We see WOO scaling out to more areas and more industries. But we also see the product scaling to give people more in depth and personal insights that’ll make them smarter about their demand in the market and what their best options are (something we feel is really lacking for most people today).
I got a beta invite a few months ago and got a few offers from very interesting companies really quickly. Great product, amazing team! Well done, @lirankotzer and @amidudu1!
@itsruback Thanks, we getting a lot of request to open it to other industries, mainly sales, marketing & bizdev, so I guess we going to fulfill this demand pretty soon :) please stay tuned...
Just tried this out -- super simple to get up and going. A great concept -- and addressed all my concerns around anonymity. Looking forward to see how the approaches work. Awesome job!
Hey Hunters!
I am the co-founder of WOO, it's great to be listed on PH! :)
Ami, my partner and myself built the WOO platform to enable techies to discover if companies are ready to offer them what's important to them, while staying completely anonymous and passive.
We took the hassle of the job discovery process and created a simple, anonymous way for everyone to know their true demand out there.
We would be happy to have the community feedback and answer any question you might have.
Cheers,
Liran
