- Still collects a silly amount of info
- Content is 100% surrendered by license
- Still poor user protection conventions
- Do no respect do-not-track requests
- Anonymous within 5 mile range — not just identifiable as, but faster and easier
- Still pretty negligent in barring minors — yet ‘work hard’ to identify you
- Anyone can access conversations at YY
- Preeeeety generous TOS (to them)
- Actually makes me laugh when people use the likes of YY and free speech in the same sentence.
Unless you’re basically out of childhood, and want to gossip about the other kiddo of the other school, YY was silly then and it is silly now.
It baffles me that this has any appeal at all in current times..
