YouCode by You.com is the search engine for developers. Copy snippets, write code with AI, validate JSON, and find documentation, tips, tricks, and utilities 10X faster than on traditional search engines.
Really digging the idea of domain-optimized search experiences — and going beyond StackOverflow to provide search tooling for developers is a smart and savvy angle.
Am very curious what developers think of this!
For a long time, I've been googling "stack overflow X" to find solutions to a particular coding issue. Let's see how your search engine makes an upgrade over it!
This is awesome! As developers, this will be super helpful as searching code snippets in google doesn't often fetch the best results and we end up spending loads of time searching for the workable solution to a problem.
I'm super excited to try this out. Great job! Congratulations on the launch! 🚀
Hey Product Hunt!
As someone who has written a lot of code, it feels deeply satisfying to launch a product to solve a challenge that I’ve encountered many times.
🤔 We started by asking what we want as developers: good relevant code snippets, good documentation, great tutorials, fast access to existing code repositories, open source code for Arxiv papers, best-in-class privacy and security, etc.
💡Our team has spent the last 6 months building a solution to those problems that I’m excited to share with you today.
💻 YouCode by 👉 You.com is a FREE Search Engine For Developers that makes it 10X easier to discover, copy, and generate code snippets and answer coding questions within a single tab. It’s loaded with features for developers that save time and speed up workflows.
- find relevant code snippets 10x faster
- AI that writes code for you
- Find tutorials, documentation, and academic publications faster
- Catch data errors faster
- Stay in the flow with a multi-search extension

🔮 What’s next?
We’re excited to build a developer search engine that helps every coder be the best they can be — this is just the first version. And we’re excited to launch on PH and hear your feedback.
And as a special thank you to the PH community for your feedback, if you sign up this week, you’ll secure FREE access to YouCode and all of its features for 3 months (some features in the future will be paid).
We are grateful to our hunter @chrismessina for hunting us again and providing valuable feedback during this launch.
Nice that it sticks to the usual search engine format so it's easy to navigate. The horizontal expansion of content from "preferred sites" is an interesting approach that I really like. My only complaint is I couldn't sign up with a one-click "sign in with your google account" button, but that's just me being lazy lol. Overall, this is the longest I've spent actually exploring a PH product after reading the launch page, so kudos. Lots of interesting spaces for growth 👍
I've switched over to using you.com in general, and especially for the developer-focused view. I find the specificity to be very convenient, especially when searching on terms that can be ambiguous. The results hoisted out from GH, SO, and documentation sites are really helpful and a significant time-saver. And the fact that I can choose the sources I care about adds even more leverage to optimize my day-to-day workflow.
All-in-all, great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here!
Developers' needs are greatly underserved in the search engine market. Navigating a sea of vertical blue links and opening a million tabs is not the best way to get you your answers.
A search engine should make you more efficient – not less.
That's why I'm incredibly excited to see You.com tackle this problem, helping developers be 10X better at making great products.
Congratulations, team! 🎉
Wow, this looks amazing!!! I don't need to spent time by clicking links all over the place to find good coding example, just one click on YouCode and i am all set
