@rrhoover Thanks for asking Ryan.
We also like FullStory as many things are nicely done. However, it is a tool specialized only for vistor’s session replay. Zarget not only helps you to understand user’s behaviour but also makes you experiment changes, measure conversion and improve it. So a Digital Marketer or a Product Manager striving to improve the conversion can do the changes, get instant feedback and act upon it.
We are working on tightly integrating session replay with the other modules including funnel analysis, heatmaps etc., This will help users identify the leaky steps and reduce the drop-off rate.
Would be really happy if you could give Zarget a try and let me know your thoughts!
@rrhoover@contactnaveen I've personally tried FullStory, Hotjar, Crazy Egg, VWO etc... and honestly, for startups to medium sized business that need an all-inclusive solution at an affordable rate, Zarget seems to be the winner so far! The main issue I had with Zarget initially was that they had a lot of bugs and they didn't have this session recording feature, so I switched back to the others. But now, although they still have some bugs, it's a bigger bang for your buck and totally worth implementing!
Furthermore, I'm not sure if they will follow through with this or not, but I just received an excellent on-boarding experience. I sat on a long call with their client specialist Bhaskar , walking me through the whole implementation and more; and apparently, they will continue to provide phone support beyond these early stages at no extra cost.
Lastly, I read the comment replies on here and Naveen's answers to things like the security blew me away, I'm definitely optimistic and as long as the list of bugs that I just reported get fixed, they have my vote!
@contactnaveen Just got off the phone with one of your staff and was excited to get started with my site and client's sites, but the coupon for Product Hunt users only gave a small discount, when I inquired about it, I was notified that the 40% off is for the yearly subscriptions ( Arun didn't mention this in our initial chat when i inquired about it ) only.... can you guys make that clear on the landing page? Also, I was on the phone for an hour with Bhaskar providing a lot of feedback and bug report, he seems to be willing to help me out, waiting on the response still. Great work overall, read my other comment to this :) . Thanks!
@dilyaraskar@rrhoover Thank you so much Dilyar! Being a young startup, customers like you are really a motivational factor for us to take the product to completely new level.
@contactnaveen No problem! It's mutual love ;) I offered my full support when possible, so hit me up and keep me posted via intercom and such :) . Congrats on your Serious A funding and keep it up!
There's likely 10+ of these on the market. The reality that most people don't see is that there's only a few true analytics that really matter:
1/ Talk to the customer, make it easy for them to speak. Typing fatigue is a very real thing.
2/ Scroll Depth
3/ visitor flow - you may want to catch false visits inside and outside the app or trickiness in navigation through the visitor flow diagrams.
4/ Referral URLs, where did customers come from and how did they convert - this can be used to put a valuation on each and every backlink, and on future sponsored post opportunities.
@datarade Thanks. It's true that there is no a replacement for talking to customers and understand their need. Zarget's Session Recording is a tool to complement that effort. You can have a productive customer development interview based on their past behavior in your app. While many analytics tools give an aggregated behavior of the customers, Session Recording gives you an insight into a specific user or segment of users' journey.
We are working on making this more valuable by integrating with many of our tools, so visitor flow, referral details are all work in process. Follow us @ZargetHQ for more updates.
Thanks again for your detailed comments.
@ourielohayon You are right. As of now, we only track the tactile events like mouse click/flow, scroll, and key press.
Technically, we track the changes of DOM of user's browser session. So you see what your visitor actually sees. If your visitor has a seen few personalized recommendations, you can view what the visitor actually saw. We don't simply load the web page in our player.
@khurammalik Thanks for your question Khuram Malik.
Heap Analytics provides a unique approach to capture all the user interactions through “Event Visualizer”. Zarget on the other hand is a complete CRO tool to analyse and optimize your landing pages through A/B testing, Heatmaps, Polls & Feedback etc., We cannot compare ourselves with HeapAnalytics, however Zarget can complement with HeapAnalytics.
We don’t have an integration with Segment.com, but we do have plans to get this done.
@agilek Thanks Mike for your question. In terms of Pricing, Hotjar tracks based on the visits, but our pricing is based on MUV (Monthly Unique Visitors). So if the same visitor visits the page multiple times, we count as only one visitor for that month. We are definitely an affordable alternative than many other players in the market including Hotjar, Optimizely, ABTasty etc., But having said that, we don’t want anyone to choose us because we are cheaper than others, but to consider us as we provide more value in terms of the features that we offer. I'd recommend you to give us a try and see how it works!
I answered about Zarget vs Hotjar in one of the previous threads. Pasting it here for your reference -
"Hotjar is a very good tool and provides Qualitative insights on how changes on your landing pages/website affect key metrics. But it doesn’t help you make the changes on your website to improve the conversion rate. Zarget being an All-in-One CRO tool provides key metrics and also helps you to optimize the pages and maximize the conversions.
Please take a look at this page to understand how are we different from Hotjar in terms of the features - https://zarget.com/hotjaralterna..."
Please feel free to ping me if you have any other questions!
Thanks for the hunt Kevin!!
We are really excited to be launching Session Replay in our All-in-One CRO tool. And here’s the reason on why you should give Zarget a try -
A logical place for anyone to start analyzing their website is to find out why visitors are not converting, not subscribing, not performing the actions that you intended them to do.
Let’s say you wanted to investigate why your visitors abandon the checkout process. You can start off with creating a funnel with all the possible steps. Zarget’s funnel will give you an immediate visual insight on where visitors drop-off from the website.
With Session Replay, you can watch the sessions that drop-off in each step of the funnel. And to give attention to useful sessions, you can load up click/hover heatmaps and check the elements that the visitors are intrigued by, but don’t interact with. With this, you will get a fair idea on a leaky step from different angles. And make use of Polls & Feedback to understand what your website visitors think about your website, and to fix their problems, run an A/B test and optimize the pages.
Does this sound interesting? It did for us. That’s the reason we built an All-in-One CRO tool to satisfy all these needs :)
Give it a go and let us know your thoughts! https://zarget.com/ph/session-re...
Who needs this payed solution, while there's already free and time-proved Yandex Metrica (https://metrica.yandex.com/about ) with new support for dynamic websites and good documentation on user params which can be used for segmentation of statistics?
So what we got:
- A/B tests - check
- Heatmaps - check
- Split Url Testing - ... who needs different URLs? But yes, Metrica allows comparing different URLs stats
- Funnel Analytics - check and we have even tracking omni-channel and offline conversions
- Form Analytics - yes and it's perfect especially in Metrica 2.0!
- Polls - ... Do we really need it in statistics and usability tool?
@bethrezen I hear you and love your passion about Yandex. As I said above, customers' data security and privacy is sacrosanct for us. We are not comfortable collecting or storing customer's sensitive data at all. Yandex has a different take on this.
We are a conversion optimization platform and not a "statistics and usability tool". So let us agree to disagree.
@santhoshguru Oh, you are saying you take care of privacy. But why you have this phrase in your own privacy policy? "We do not use technology that recognizes DNT signals from your web browser."
I can continue discussion on your privacy policy, but again - no one will care how secure and private is if they don't know how to use this thing for getting profit. As I see you have only 2 cases, but there's nothing about methodology and helping people think how to optimize their conversion rate.
Ok, assuming your service is for professionals that already know how to make real working hypothesis. But all of them know what data can be collected by any other services like facebook pixel, google analytics that are usually living near your tracking code on this websites. And they don't care of data security and privacy.
I just wanted to say 2 things:
1. Data security and privacy is a weak argument, definitely not your killer-feature. You don't pay attention to it on your website. Try finding some more competing advantages for your product that will be closer to real demand and will be more unique. What if I find some vulnerability in your product? What if someone else someday will create a torrent with lots of leaked users sessions? You can not be 100% sure. And you can not prove me that you are totally secure. At least, go update your wordpress to latest version lol https://blogs.zarget.com/readme....
2. There's lots of similar products, including free. But there's no real good scalable service on this market. We have tools, but not solutions and helpers. Pay attention to site owners that want to learn how to think, run good experiments and understand why they failed or succeed. If your user just clicks some buttons, waits for some results - he may stop using your service just because he failed and haven't achieved any noticeable results. Help users learn basic conversion principles, basic usability rules, give them good tools and here's your LTV.
Please, do not become yet another heatmap/site-session-recorder that will fail just because of this :)
Good luck!
PS: Spent 10 minutes, already found vulnerability in your service on app.zarget.com . Contact me if you want to know it :-)
@bethrezen Sorry I missed your comment.
Thanks for bringing this to our notice. We assure you that we take security very seriously. We will be happy to address the concerns you have identified. For us, security and customers' trust in Zarget is of utmost importance. Please ping us at security@zarget.com and we can discuss on addressing your findings.
Thanks again for your feedback about website owners’ pain points. We will strive to address them in our future updates/releases.
The pricing is based on the number of visitors. How do you define a "visitor"? Is it someone who visits the site, or someone who visits the site in the past x days?
@ben_zhang Thanks for your message Ben. The pricing is based on the number of Monthly Unique Visitors and is not based on Visits. If the same visitor visits the website multiple times in a month, it is counted as only one for that month. Hope it clarifies. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
At Imagine Careers, we're huge fans of Fullstory and their powerful segmentation/targeting options. I see Zarget being a real value add for us, especially with the additional tool baked in for the price. With that being said I have some questions.
1) I see Zarget is able to segment based on geography, but what other segmentation/targeting options are available?
1A) I'm interested in focusing on users who've clicked on specific selectors, buttons or have visited certain pages. As well as knowing the referral link without asking (this user came Google, this blog post, landing page, etc). As well as removing our team from the results.
2) Also, what about data retention for user replay sessions? How long and where is this data stored?
Awesome product,
Thanks!
@imdaeshawn You can set up recordings in Zarget and target to record the sessions/audience based on 17 different parameters (example: Referral URL, Query Parameters, Cookie Value, IP range, etc). You can filter the IP addresses (or range of addresses) of your colleagues/office to exclude the sessions recorded by them. I really recommend you to try signing up for Zarget and explore it.
Currently, you can search sessions in Zarget based on the following parameters:
* Referrer URL
* Landing Page and pages visited
* Location (Country / City)
* Technology (OS / Browser / Device form factor)
* Name / Email ID of the visitor (if passed via Zarget’s API)
In our next releases, we will be focusing more giving segmentation and filters to help users to view and understand the sessions better.
The sessions recorded are currently stored for 6 months and there is no limit on the number of sessions to be viewed per day or month.
@realmahadev That’s a great question..
Hotjar is a very good tool and provides Qualitative insights on how changes on your landing pages/website affect key metrics. But it doesn’t help you make the changes on your website to improve the conversion rate. Zarget being an All-in-One CRO tool provides key metrics and also helps you to optimize the pages and maximize the conversions.
Please take a look at this page to understand how are we different from Hotjar in terms of the features - https://zarget.com/hotjaralterna...
However, I’d recommend you to signup for a FREE trial in both the tools and see which one suits your requirements.. If you need any help in setting up, feel free to shoot an email to support@zarget.com
@arrev Thanks Adam. Digital marketers in today’s world spend a lot of time in analyzing and optimizing their website. It is a continuous process as their goal is to increase the traffic and maximize conversions. To get this done, they have to juggle with multiple tools and will also go through the pain on setting up the experiments in different tools. To address this problem, we came up with Zarget - an one stop shop for all the CRO needs. That's the reason we came up with Session Replay in addition to the existing modules - A/B Testing, Heatmaps, Funnel Analysis, Form Analytics etc., It helps to truly understand about the visitors, addresses the pain-points and fix it. However, the tools like Inspectlet, Sessioncam focusses mainly on Session Recording.
To answer your other question, yes, we wanted to play well in the ecosystem. Please take a look at this page to know more about our integrations - https://zarget.com/integrations/...
Thanks for the question @dreamture@kostyarypta
* Security - Your data is sacrosanct for us. The data collected from your visitors are stored with enterprise level security. (Yandex Metrica uses the data collected from the visitors for its own processes, which is a cardinal sin for us)
* Data Privacy - We automatically detect the credit card fields & other sensitive fields. As a user, you are in control of your data. We empower the users to specify which pages or sections of the pages to be collected or not.
* Automatic Bot Detection - We detect the traffic from many notorious bots and spare your time from viewing those sessions
* What Visitors See Is What You see - Our superior recording and replay technology allows the users to replay the page and have the same experience of the visitors (Yandex Metrica replays it in an iFrame, which not all the websites allow)
* Targeting - You can specify which segment of visitors you want to target and record sessions only for that. If you want to understand the behavior of users coming from specific campaigns, it can be done in very few clicks.
* Support for single page apps - We don’t have any restrictions on the size of the webpage’s code (Yandex Metrica insists that the size of page’s code should not exceed 185 KB).
Sign up and give it a try. I am sure you will be convinced 😃 . Let us know your thoughts.
@santhoshguru@dreamture@kostyarypta
1. Security - Why should I trust you? And for this data.. lot's of plugins/statistics systems/browser extensions are collecting data nowadays. So this argument is not as good as you think
2. Data Privacy - Metrica does this too
3. Bot detection - Metrica does this better then you - I'm sure, know how their antibot really works and there experience is significant in such topics.
4. WVSIWYS - You are wrong here. They load proxied version in iframe and Metrica 2.0 behaves even more better in this way, so no problems with any sites
5. Targeting - in Metrica you can segment all users by lots of attributes including your custom parameters, goals and other things. So your argument is weak here too.
6. Metrica 2.0 works fine with SPA. And of course, if your page code is large like 185KB - that's actually terrible for usability. Weak argument number 6.
Guys, I'm not working in Yandex, but your arguments are so weak...
Hope you find your niche before Yandex goes international and your possible clients switch to it.
Several years ago I tried making the same product but for recording user behavior including eye tracking. The reason why I stopped this product is that world doesn't require any more tools like that. Usability testing with eyetrackers require big knowledge and experience which site owners usually don't have.
You made yet another usability statistics tool. But you don't offer site owners real simple instruments of improving their websites. It still requires lots of skills from them. And in fact it's not so cool as your competitors.
That's my opinion. You may not like it, but anyway, good luck to you )
@bethrezen Thanks for your opinion. The response we have received from our customers during our Early Access Phase (pre-beta) is phenomenal, that's why we pushed for an early beta release of Session Replay.
We are a conversion optimization platform providing integrated tools to help marketers and product managers. Our focus is to help the users get their jobs done effectively, rather than being cool.
Anyways, thanks a lot for your detailed feedback. All the best.
@thalassavanbeek Yes.
- We provide a score based on the user's activity in a session to help you to prioritize which session to watch.
- We provide an Identify API to help you associate a session with the user based on their email or user_id (http://docs.zarget.com/docs/zarg...)
- We provide smart search capability to help you narrow the sessions based on pages visited and many other criteria
