Zario is the first AI that roasts you out of doom scrolling by tricking your mind, blocking your phone and sometimes pushing a dopamine hit even before you enter distracting apps. Zario has customized "doors" that makes you think twice before entering doom.

Hi Product Hunters!
After tweaking, testing, interviewing and listening to PH and the world, we've made Zario AI. The first AI that can roast you, block you, be strict or funny. The only algorithm and AI that's actively working to make more time for what's important to you.
We built a lot of cool features, like strict mode which turns your phone into a brick and blocks all distracting apps. You can even activate an accountability fee of $2. If you're familiar with the concept of loss aversion, you know it's powerful.
Just added the "doors" feature, which shares interesting facts, and inappropriate jokes in an effort to give you a little dopamine boost even before entering the doom scrolling apps.
Most of the novel features are only available on iOS for now, but we do have an Android app with many cool and unique features. Let us know if you have any ideas, feedback or what you like/dislike in the comments :)

Love this creative, humorous approach to a very real epidemic of doomscroll-itis. Noticed you reference an article talking about screentime impact on children. Any plans for a child-friendly version of this app?

@anaid Doomscroll-itis. That's funny, never heard this one before. For the children, there are already so many parental control apps, that we didn't see much of a need to be filled as much.. Also, seem like the laws are changing fast, like Singapore & Brazil this year.. Besides, some of the most searched for terms on google is "how to hack parental control screen time settings", haha.

Really appreciate the vision behind that. Tho I am not using the smartphone so much (my screen time on laptop would need this) :D

@busmark_w_nika thanks for the appreciation Nika. We felt that and heard from many that the laptop screen time, more often was used "productively", and so that's why we decided to focus on more. Which apps/ websites do you feel you'd use an App like Zario on the computer more for?

This is very helpful to me. I often find that once I get absorbed in my phone, time passes quickly without me realizing it. By the time I notice, one or two hours may have already gone by.😂

@focusaur Thanks James, yes that's exactly what we built this for. One brand new feature is quick peek. So instead of going in for like 10 minutes at the time, you can now chose to go in for only 45 seconds, just to check a message or something, and answer without getting lured into watching one reel, that sneaks into 300 more reels
