Super super excited for this new, expanded version of CleanShot! The scrolling capture alone is worth the price of admission (I'd been using Xnip for this previously).
I have been using this for about two months now as a marketing tool, and it has dramatically increased the quality of designs we share out across email, social, and our change log. The screenshots look so clean, and it's easy to use (it even integrates with keyboard commands). For a small team with limited design resources, it's a must!
I previously used Snagit for screenshots for many years. But Cleanshot is just so lightweight, snappy, and fast. Once I tried it out, I had to say g'bye to Snagit as my default screenshot tool.
Feels native! And offers lots of power under the hood. Fav capture modes incl. OCR and auto-scroll. Fav features incl. powerful annotations, custom shortcuts, and cloud upload.
Effective and, today, a must-have in my system. There are things to improve, but not significant enough to name them—or to look elsewhere. It’s like wearing an old jacket; it’s comfy, but a new one might fit better.
This is one the best products in terms of user experience, feature completeness and product design. It is an example of how to design a product that solves the problem at hand.
As a product designer, taking screenshots of various things is just part of our day-to-day. While other products also do that, CleanShot helps me organize all of it, go through history, and centralize not only the screenshots but also quick videos that I record during the product development cycle. Keep up the excellent work!
I use it instead of Loom. It’s a multitool that does almost everything I could wish for regarding screenshots and screen recordings, at a very affordable price.
