Been on the Gem TestFlight for a few weeks now. Find myself opening the app multiple times a day to quickly swipe through a dozen stories or so. It’s just something about the simplicity and fluidity of this app that makes me keep coming back day after day.
Having been an avid user of reader apps over a decade, owing to the sheer number of writing pieces available now, I’ve struggled to get to “inbox zero” in my reading lists / queues etc. Over time, that has made me avoid or even dread opening them altogether. My queues just keep accumulating, like email... Enter Gem. I never dread opening Gem, because I know I could be in and out in 30s, a couple of mins or even 10 mins, with new knowledge and a feeling of satisfaction. It's kind of like skimming headlines but a lot more useful.
We live in a new age where there's just too much news out there — Gem embraces that and proposes an intelligent, fun way to navigate this era.
The AI recommendation engine has been getting progressively better from the day I started using Gem. And I've got a growing wishlist of features already..
TLDR: Gem is just plain dumb fun! You gotta try it to know.
