Great to connect with like-minded people. But only 4 stars because you can not set rules for Spam detection (and why is not LinkedIn does it themselves?)
LinkedIn has been a great platform so far. I like it. It helped me land my second job and help me create connection that have turned out to be really good and helpful. Not to mention the community on linkedIn is supportive of the work and endeavours you take.
LinkedIn is my go-to for building professional relationships and expanding industry knowledge. It’s perfect for connecting with like-minded experts, sharing insights, and staying on top of trends. The platform has helped me grow my network and showcase my expertise. While there’s room for improvement with content relevance, LinkedIn remains invaluable for career growth.
They censor and silence you if you were to weigh in on difficult subjects going on throughout the world. This company should not be trusted and is ultimately acting as a large data collector.
The only reason I will give it two stars is because when I started out my career I landed 2 solid job because of linkedin. At this point, its become a superficial and bad version of twitter
The idea is quite sound - Want to learn? Want to show off your work? Do it here! - unfortunately the general white collar work culture is what makes LinkedIn an unpleasant place to be.
On a website instance, having messaging behind a paywall is not a very helpful networking site. Comments do not appear without rapid refreshing. Their Trust and Safety team is more interested in upholding the harmful ideals of companies than moving toward genuine improvement in the workforce.
I wish it was more of a hub; Have calendar integration, a more immersive way to show off projects. That would be a fitting thing to put behind a paywall, not fleecing people begging for work they won't get from your site.
