Haven't had the chance to test the sound id on any birds yet, but I've downloaded a few packs (their directory of local birds basically) and I love listening to all the call variations. I love how each call comes with the name and date someone recorded it. Feels more personal and crowdsourced. I don't know how new calls are added but hopefully I'll be able to record something and get my recording in there. Overall, it's a nice quick spark of joy in my day.

I've been using this app for about a week now and I'm just in love. You just press record and in real time it tells you the birds just by sound in your own backyard. I've started to recognize birds just by their noises now!
Wow, I found my old photo from winter where I took a photo of some weird chickens, and now I know they're not chickens. The app is great for kids. And for people like me who don't know about birds at all. And by the way, okay sparrow, I know his size, but the thrush, I think not everyone knows what size thrush) I think the scale of choice of size is better duplicated by something else, other than birds)
Very useful tool. This will replace endless Googling of "Bird with brownish back and reddish chest with white splashes" etc and crossing my fingers, lol
I love the sound feature as often they're too far away for me to see but the sound carries.
