I'm addicted to Notion's callouts and toggles. It has become pretty difficult for me to write internal documentation without them.
Notion or Google Docs?

My first stable job was a copywriting position at a linguistic services provider. It happended ages ago, but I always remember something a co-worker told me pretty early on, "to go global, go local". Success across local markets = global success.
Of course, your main mkt assets (your website, for instance) could try to target a global audience. But local strategies always pay off at a...

If I had to write a really comprehensive list of skills, this comment would be thousands of words long. These days, I'd say I learned to communicate in concrete terms and aim for concrete things. It's too easy to get caught up in bureaucracy, buzzwords, and vagueness. I've learned to minimize that.
What key skill you learned as a founder, and how has it helped you in your startup journey?

Wow, with so many GPT-3 applications coming out, I’m super desensitized - but THIS is incredibly useful. Excited to try it out!

I've always promoted within teams. That's a great way to get leaders who know how the sausage is made and are commited to the company's success long-term.
Will you promote a leader within the team or hire from outside? Why?

Personally, I think Google should go back to doing more with less. And all the essential work it needs is technical stuff that the user won’t see but that will make a difference. A big, significant algorithm update, for instance. No more flashy features and clutter.

I usually go to the gym at noon (when I feel the sleepiest). It gives me an energy boost that helps me do deep work in the evening.
What do you do to restore your energy?

3D modelling. The interfaces just overwhelm me and I know it'll take me years of daily practice to reach a level of proficiency I'd be happy with.

I was just discussing the content of "no-face" reels with my marketing team yesterday. Thanks for these ideas. When it comes to creating the reels themselves, I recommend investing in some quality footage (if necessary), and being open to doing voiceover.

My agency runs entirely on productized services. That way, we can provide transparency to our clients, take control of our workflow, and prevent scope creep.
Wrote a guide about it a while ago: https://www.postdigitalist.xyz/b...

Definitely, by February I'll be dizzy from all the "circling back after the holidays" I've scheduled.

I try to minimize the number of extensions I use, but these are absolutely essential for me:
👉 Grammarly
👉 CSS Peeper
👉 Finsweet
👉 Apollo

It depends a lot on what the organization is doing. Some industries are deeply political. In those cases, being politically aligned can help advance the company mission. I'm thinking about crypto, for instance.
But if you're in, idk, B2B SaaS, it's very likely that politics will be irrelevant. Unless someone's politics empowers them to mistreat or disrespect other team members.
Is talking politics at work beneficial for organizations?
