Does Discovery Call really work?
Recently, I have been reviewing a bunch of SaaS tools and it seems like the discovery call which is separate from the actual demo has become the new normal. This must be done as an initial step- but what do you think about having this conversation over phone? Often, unscheduled one?
I found myself getting frustrated with being caught in between errands and grilled about what other tools I have...

Hi Dave, where can I find the "Today we're excited to launch a new feature at Conversion.ai: The Long-Form AI Copy Assistant. I think you guys are asking to be paid a little too early, since there is not many intro requests. At this point, it would be good if anyone could post for free and once they get any intro requests, ask to upgrade. Or maybe pay a percentage of the intro fee only?

To be honest, I think that you can sabotage someone's product this way. We have been preparing for the launch and chose the right moment for it. It could be that the product is not in the right stage and it won't get any traction. This way, you might take away their chance to launch at the right moment. Also, in case it does get traction because of the launch, they might not have the capacity...
Do you spontaneously hunt products without speaking with the founders/makers?
