Whoa, what were the chances. I’ve been getting into powerlifting and the latest trend now is to measure the velocity of the bar for the three main lifts. The theory says that you should set a slow speed cutoff point for your reps and stop the set when you arrive there. This is because lifting to failure makes you more prone to injury without giving you much “gains”.
