I don’t understand this. You could already do this. If you’re making an API call to chatgpt, you could get the info from your API yourself and insert it in the context. The only thing this plugin feature does is to call API itself? The response from the API call is counted against the token size anyway, so I don’t understand what is new here.

I’m not very thrilled with this chatgpt api release. You could achieve all this with gpt3 api released last year. In fact gpt3 is more powerful than chatgpt. What I was hoping for is that chatgpt api remembers the context from previous api calls. But it turns out that for every new api call to chatgpt, you have to pass the entire history of previous messages. With max context size of 4096...
