I'm not actually using Next.js myself, but I'm very interested in where they are going with Turbopack. We're using Parcel right now, but I'll surely keep an eye on this!

If anything, I'm getting the impression that maybe there are actually too many startups
Do you find that PH is a big enough database of startups?

Great idea, thanks for open-sourcing this! Do I understand correctly it syncs both ways? So I can create _Public_ issues in Linear, while users create them in GitHub and they all end up in the same pool? How does it keep track of the link between them?

I'm going to have to choose self-employed, for the same reason I love working at startups: I love the autonomy and responsibility of working in a small, fast-moving environment. I'm also somewhat of the rebellious type (though fortunately it's gotten less over the years xD), so I'm a very poor fit for bureaucracy...
Only exception I could see is if it's a very young, open and dynamic...
Would you rather like to be self-employed or working in a multi-national company?

Start small! If you choose to create something that turns out to be out of your league to launch, you will never get the reward of exposing your creation, and you will never get the positive reinforcement to keep going.
Start small, and launch it. That way you will learn where the difficulties are, what your qualities are, and you will get the satisfaction of seeing your creation out there....

I think being passionate is important in the sense it will help you excel for reasons others already mentioned. But it's not a necessity; as long as you have some affinity with the problem I think you may have what it takes to thrive.
How important is it to be passionate about the problem your business is solving?
