This project sort of "fell out" of our main tea app due, mainly, to ease of using SwiftUI. Functionality-wise, it is just as good or as bad as a myriad of basic tea brewing timers but we tried to make this one to stand out by using minimal video backdrops.

We made this timer in-between other projects. Settings timers is a always bit of a hassle and the core idea behind this one was to make the process work with a single swipe. Turns out, people, usually, have just a couple of recurring timers and setting a timer is not nearly as important a task as starting a preset. We started off trying to make a tutorial app for smartphone photographers but discovered along the way that out photographers was very enthusiastic about film photography, so we made an app about that instead.

Tea has a been a beverage of choice in my culture but it was, at best, a middling quality black tea. Then green tea, mostly in paper sachets, because available, and was was ever unpleasant and bitter... Turns out there is a a lot variety of teas and they are delicious when you brew them correctly. In other words, this project grew out of personal passion.

In this project we'd bitten quite a bit more that we could initially chew. Many people helped us, which is the only way we could make it with the non-existing budget. Learned to do a lot of things by ourselves too.

My friends and I made this app back in the day and we supported if through several transitions. The "paymium" structure is, um, not obvious these days, but what do you think?
